SCOLARI DISMISSED

Posted on: Mon 09 Feb 2009

Luiz Felipe Scolari has been dismissed as manager of Chelsea Football Club today (Monday) with immediate effect.

The Chelsea board would like to place on record our gratitude for his time as manager.

Felipe has brought many positives to the club since he joined and we all feel a sense of sadness that our relationship has ended so soon.

Unfortunately the results and performances of the team appeared to be deteriorating at a key time in the season.

In order to maintain a challenge for the trophies we are still competing for we felt the only option was to make the change now.

The search for a new manager has already started and we hope to have someone in place as soon as possible.

While that continues Assistant Coach Ray Wilkins will take charge of the team on a temporary basis.

The end is near.

Who the feck can they get in at this time in the season. Too many mercenaries who don't give a feck.

I am sure they are pleading with "The Special One" as we speak.

    at Chelsea.

Though feel sorry for Scolari, who seemed a very decent bloke trying to wrestle with some inflated egos.

Zola and Clark will also be on their list.

Hopefully they don't leave West Ham at this time as the Hammers took a big chance on them.

A load of old players who's desire has gone, no money by Chelsea's standards anyway and toodle pip after not even 1 season, pathetic. The same fans who hounded out a man who got them 2nd place and to a CL final. I loathe that club.

BLOODY HELL!!!!

Is any top boss really going to touch that job now? Mourinho, Grant and now Scolari all treated pretty shabbly it has to said.

F*cking hope Mourinho isn't on his way back, their fall out was about Schevcenko, I hope Roman hasn't eaten humble pie and they've kissed and made up.

Chelsea in trouble, Arsenal re-building, Liverpool self destructing behind the scenes and not really convincing on the pitch. Who do you think are laughing the loudest at the moment?

If anything this puts even more pressure on LFC to get their/our house in order

Sky say Avram Grant's on the shortlist to replace him. nuts.

When you look at them this season, you have to say he did rather well with them last year.

I liked Scolari though. He seemed to be a decent bloke who wanted his teams to play the right way. They have an ageing and unbalanced squad, he only bought two players in the summer and their attacking options include Malouda, Kalou, Anelka and a disinterested Drogba. They were never going to win the league this year, but someone at Chelsea seems to think they have divine right to success and any manager who fails to deliver it is going to get the boot.

They're effectively Real Madrid without the history of success or worldwide name.
