To be honest, Torres looked absolutely shot too. And Rafa was weighing up him playing 3 games in a week already before yesterday.

Kuyt put a real shift in today though, wonder if he's going to need the rest. Riera is a decent call though, only had 80 minutes.

Riera only ever gets 80 minutes and its starting to show. Around about the 75 minute mark he looked tired and leaden footed. He's conditioned to playing less than 90 minutes now.

I agree with the selling of Keane, but it's ironic that he'd be of use right now as that's his true position. The good news is that its 2 weeks at most and he'll be fit for the CL, the good news is Torres is still ok, ( I suspect he's nursing something). It's pompey boys, surely Babel and Ngog etc can score against them?

we can cope without gerrard in the short term, we proved that early in the season.

 

yossi has been impressive, he should start if gerrard cannot.
