psl Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I'm still horribly worried that the Mancs will win all four, as well as the European Super Cup, World Club Championship and Charity Shield.
Swipe Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Would rather have won tonight, but at least the rest in future FA Cup weekends comes in handy. After pompey it's internationals then FA Cup the next weekend. So there's a bit of a rest period then. Hope we pull a few players from internationals.

Jim D Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 (edited) Simply put our squad at this moment in time isn't capable of challenging on three fronts at the moment. It is only this season we have seen signs of us starting to put up a title challenge to go with our Champions League form. Tonight's result was disappointing but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. We've got 14 games to go in the League and a minimum of 2 games in the Champions League to come. If we go to Pompey at the weekend, do the job and collect three points, in the whole context of the entire season this game won't matter. Edited February 4, 2009 by Jim D

Unlikely the Mancs will pull that off, as good as they are, they would need huge amount of luck to go their way to win the remaining four trophies. They lost to Zenith in the European Super Cup btw. quibs Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Forgot that its FA Cup following weekend, much needed rest to concentrate on League Gerrard will get to recover, play Torres on the weekend and fake injury to miss the Spain game..

Think Rafa should ring up all the International teams and say our players are pulling out because of injury. Spain and England can feck off.

Spain and England can feck off. I honestly think there are grounds to hold Torres back. Maybe Im imagining things but hasnt he been injured a few times while playing for Spain? Surely there is something that can be done to stop them from ruining our feckin season?
Duncan Disorderly Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Inter will knock them out in Europe. Can't see it. We had them in our pockets last season.
