It is OK for a Ref and Linesman to blatantly miss a petulant act carried out right in front of them and they want respect.

Un-Fecking-Believable

It's why I can't respect them - they're taking the p*ss. It's like they want respect no matter how bad they are. No, you ****s, stand up to the players & clubs and the fans may just come back onside.

Never thought the FA could stoop as low as they did against Ferguson and Quieroz after they slandered the referee and Hackett.

But this now takes the biscuit...........what a marvellous precedent, players can go around now kung fu kicking one another.

I can only think of one reason why the FA haven't charged him and that is to back up Riley on his decision. Defies all logic!

Unbelievable!

Is it possible they are ignoring this because they will back Riley up on the red card against Lampard? Just to keep Chelsea calm (or something).

I just don't believe this......

1704: Breaking news: The Football Association has confirmed that no disciplinary action will be taken against Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa for his challenge on Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun on Sunday.

So, physical assault on the football field is acceptable, but winning a tackle (Frank Lampard) is a red card offence. Pathetic.

Would still be flagged as offside though.

Why am I not surprised by this latest FA decision?

News filtering through is that the linesman did see the incident but since it was "dealt" with on the field of play it cannot be brought to the FA.....

Linesman needs to be banned then....

Is there not some bizarre thing that means they can appeal against their own decisions? Or is that only in the cases of fines/touchline bans being given to managers and the like?

Edit - isn't the Compliance Unit but sure there is some such grandly titled body that they have that can appeal against their own decisions.

The timing of this was obviously choreographed to co-incide with the closing of the transfer window....announce it around 5pm and and it'll get lost in all the transfer headlines.

c****, the lot of them.
