CarraLegend Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Harsh or not this utter f***ing c*** has had that coming for years against us. The amount of dreadful tackles he's done on Alonso over the years is incredible. Probably not the best idea giving an interview before the game saying theres "needle" between the two of you either is it Frank you bellend.
floyd Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 GeofF Shreeves was almost crying when he gave his pitchside report, after he spoke to David Platt's son
Sion Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Funny how Richard Keys is like 'well that's conclusive proof' after an ex-Chelsea manager and his f***ing cousin moan about the sending off still probably wasn't a sending off, but it was still a s***house tackle. They were suggesting it was a foul against Lampard!
gns Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 it took shreeves all of 15 seconds to dash over to his hero and get a full account of the travesty of the red card
Jim D Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Probably a harsh sending off but it was coming for Fat Frank over the years. Who can ever forget him breaking Alonso's ankle and Gray at the time said it was never a booking. Justice done I'd say.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 According to the guys on FSC it's one of the worst decisions they've ever seen
Nebraska Red Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 According to the guys on FSC it's one of the worst decisions they've ever seen until they showed some of the other ridiculous decisions from today and yesterday, especially the Malbranque challenge that resulted in a penalty for Newcastle. the standard of refereeing is either getting worse, and the use of TV replays has to come into the game sometime.
Falconhoof Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 it took shreeves all of 15 seconds to dash over to his hero and get a full account of the travesty of the red card That was pathetic.I've never heard a pitch side report from Shreeves over a sending off before. Biased reporting.
Jim D Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 According to the guys on FSC it's one of the worst decisions they've ever seen Obviously they never saw the penalty decision by Styles at Old Trafford against Bolton. That is without doubt the worst decision this season.
madaboutlfc Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 am i the only one who saw studs up.. granted he won the ball but alonso jumped over for safety.. if say alonso had not jumped could he have contacts with the studs and it could have been dicey
Cunny Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 but for the sending off no one would have realised the useless t*** was on the pitch
Bailo Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 That was pathetic.I've never heard a pitch side report from Shreeves over a sending off before. Biased reporting.I've never heard of a player be interviewed after being sent off, I thought they had to proceed down the tunnel and sit in a "naughty room". I was stunned when Shreeves said he'd be talking to him, there must be some rules against that surely?
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 it was a little harsh. good. I'd have enjoyed it even more had it been throughly unjustified.
Bigal Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 good. f*** off. the worst decision ever is surely that kick in yossi's back was f***ing freekick to THEM!!!!
stressederic Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 It wasn't a red card. I won't be losing any sleep over it.
NWR Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 good. f*** off. the worst decision ever is surely that kick in yossi's back was f***ing freekick to THEM!!!! I have never seen anything like that in my life. If he does not get done on video evidence then football is doomed I say, doomed.
RP Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) How did the ref miss that by Bosingwa? And the lino was right there and waved his flag furiously - I thought that Bosingwa was definitely going to get sent off, but it turned out to be a free-kick to Chelsea Edited February 2, 2009 by RP
ManxRed Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Well, at least we now know Riley isn't bent. He's just absolutely bloody useless. Has he got a bet on with Rob Styles to see who can be the worst referee ever?
Redkop Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 but for the sending off no one would have realised the useless t*** was on the pitch How true is that....
Barnesy_10 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 its incredible witnessing exactly how much Stevie does during a match compared to that useless t*** Lampard. I am not sure if Ballack is restricting him, but Lampard did next to nothing all game. As for Ballack... how often does that big f***** go down? Mascherano was winding him right up all game.
Jacks Jackie Jackson Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 still probably wasn't a sending off, but it was still a s***house tackle. They were suggesting it was a foul against Lampard! And they'd have a point. Alonso was slightly more at fault than Lampard. Which of course makes it even sweeter!
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 hardly. Although it was harsh, I'll be surprised if the FA overturn it as the studs were clearly up & if Xabi hadn't (pretended to try to) hurdled him it could have been bad
Flight Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Harsh or not this utter f***ing c*** has had that coming for years against us. The amount of dreadful tackles he's done on Alonso over the years is incredible. Probably not the best idea giving an interview before the game saying theres "needle" between the two of you either is it Frank you bellend. Absolutely spot on. Its been Xabi in particular, but game after game, not just against us, Lampard has been a s***house with dirty tackles and stamping on ankles from behind. How he has never caused more injuries than he has, I don't know. Him getting pulled up for it is well overdue. I'll be disappointed if it gets rescinded, but I think Macca is right and it won't be overturned.
Sion Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 no action being taken against boswingaunf***ingbelieveable
Billy Dane Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Lampard gets red-card reprieve as ref Riley admits: I should not have sent you off SPORTSMAIL EXCLUSIVE: By MATT BARLOW Last updated at 10:15 PM on 02nd February 2009 Frank Lampard will see his three-match ban wiped out by the FA today after referee Mike Riley admitted he made a horrible mistake on Sunday at Anfield. Lampard’s red card in the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool will be overturned by an FA disciplinary commission after Riley accepted his error. But, amazingly, Chelsea team-mate Jose Bosingwa looks set to escape punishment for his wild kick on Yossi Benayoun. Manchester City’s Shaun Wright-Phillips is expected to be charged with violent conduct for kicking out at Stoke’s Rory Delap on Saturday, but the FA are powerless to charge Bosingwa because Riley has told them his assistant Mo Matadar saw the kick on Benayoun and decided not to act. Matadar was only a couple of feet from the incident when Benayoun shielded the ball from Didier Drogba near a corner flag in the closing moments of Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat at Anfield. Bosingwa pushed past Drogba, planted the studs of his right boot into Benayoun’s back and forced him to the ground, but no action was taken. FIFA rules prevent the FA from re-refereeing games with the benefit of hindsight and video replays, but they are allowed to step in and act on any incident missed by the match officials. That means Lampard and Bosingwa should be available for Chelsea against Hull onSaturday. Bosingwa issued an apology on the club website, saying: ‘It was never my intention tohurt him.’ TV footage clearly shows Lampard is first to the ball in a 50-50 midfield challenge withLiverpool’s Xabi Alonso, but Riley was quick to produce the red card. Concerns have been aired that the decision may have been sparked by Lampard’s honesty in Saturday’s Sportsmail when he spoke of a feud simmering between him and Alonso since he broke the Spaniard’s leg in a tackle four years ago. Riley was also in charge of that game and booked Lampard for the challenge. Ashley Cole, who clashed with Riley last season, turning his back on the official as he was cautioned against Spurs, claims Chelsea are victimised by the authorities — butyesterday’s developments seem to disprove that theory. Cole said: ‘All our players watched what happened with Shaun Wright-Phillips and no one gets booked or questioned about it. We do one little tackle and we seem to be getting yellow and red cards.’ Ironically, Wright-Phillips is set to be charged today and faces a three-match ban afterreferee Martin Atkinson confirmed to the FA that he missed the retaliation on Delap, sent off for a hack on the winger Link to the full b ollocks
