Until the 88th min it was Masch in 3rd place because we bossed Chelsea today with the performance of our midfield men. But, in fairness to the comment of Andy Gray, a striker is just as valuable as a keeper, they can do nothing for most of the game but then win points with just 1 contribution and Torres did that, except he had 2 contributions

What the f*ck was Gray on about - several times Gray had said "if that hidn't hit Alex it was going in" then half an hour later he's saying Torres has done nothing til the goal. Torres had created feckin all sorts for himself and that's why Alex was MoM til he got the header in.

Seriously though, had it been 0-0 then Masch would have got my vote, overall I thought Alonso kept the tempo going very well and Gerrard was immense - take note Robbie Keane. Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres were our best players and if you are going to play then one of them has to drop out
