Sion Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 GerrardTorresAlonso Aurelio and Benayoun could easily have had that third spot though.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Gerrard Torres Yossi Thought Xabi had a good game too
yuriska Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 GerrardTorresYossithe whole team played well though, apart from pepe the lazy sod That goes for me too.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Gerrard AlonsoTorres Until the 88th min it was Masch in 3rd place because we bossed Chelsea today with the performance of our midfield men. But, in fairness to the comment of Andy Gray, a striker is just as valuable as a keeper, they can do nothing for most of the game but then win points with just 1 contribution and Torres did that, except he had 2 contributions
smithdown Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 they can do nothing for most of the game but then win points with just 1 contribution and Torres did that, except he had 2 contributions What the f*ck was Gray on about - several times Gray had said "if that hidn't hit Alex it was going in" then half an hour later he's saying Torres has done nothing til the goal. Torres had created feckin all sorts for himself and that's why Alex was MoM til he got the header in.

Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres were our best players and if you are going to play then one of them has to drop out
Internationinteroperability Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 GerrardTorresAlonso Aurelio and Benayoun could easily have had that third spot though. I'll go along with that. Masch was close to 3rd as well.
Whitey Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Torres (has to be for the goals)GerrardAurelio (great delivery for goal, and looked much more positive today)
Hassony Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Same for me as well. I am not disagreeing with you often now adays! you have seen the light finally
