Drug use in nightclub?

I was out on Monday night and I noticed a group of fellas by the side of the dancefloor standing around in a circle dancing. They all had beers in their hands but were also passing around a bottle that they took turns sniffing out of.

 

They were all obviously off their t*** but I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen this or knows what could be in the bottle? It was around half the size of a medicine bottle.

 

Never seen this before and was just curious to know what they were on.
