Cech

Johnson Vidic Terry A.Cole

Guiterrez Fabregas Anderson Deco

Adebayor Santa Cruz

Vidic?!?! - cant say I agree with that. He's their best defender - christ, they havent lost a goal for about 8 games and Johnny Evans has played a lot of them beside him. Wish he was injured for a while to be honest and then they might ship a few.

Wow! From the picks so far (ignoring Walrus!) a team of

Cech

Johnson Terry Vidic Cole

Deco Lampard Fabregas Downing

Rooney Adebayor

would be title contenders. Bo11ocks thread so far.

Fabregas and Rooney are excellent footballers so including them is ridiculous.

Isnt that sort of the point? Its only going to be good players that are overrated because no one rates the garbage like Titus Bramble? Cech for example is a good goalie but you often here "best goalie in the world" and in my opinion he's nowhere near it, not now anyway.

some people don't seem to understand what overrated means!

Cech is an excellent keeper, but the way pundits say that he is the best of the world makes him over rated, over the past 12 months he hasn't been in the top 3 keepers in the world

my team

James (still as crap as he was with us)

Terry

woodgate

Johnson

Bale

Lennon

Mikel

Andreson

Nani

Defoe

Santa Cruz

Interesting to see the number of players that are London-based.

The word "over-rated" can be added to the words "by the London media" here.

Can't disagree with this team, but I would have Bridge (as he is more expensive than Johnson in there and Lucas Neil as he is always sh^^ whenever I have seen him, and in attack, I would have Berbatove to partner his other German league failure instead of Defoe

woodgate is a good example of this, for years hes been known to be a great defender....but where does this come from?? seems to me from wayyyy back in his leeds days he had a pretty good season and showed promise..

Was constantly injured at newcastle, same at real madrid....

And looks weak at spurs....hes awful at passing, has no pace.....and constantly mistimes his tackles.

Vidic?!

Bad call.

definitely. probably under-rated if anything.

terry, king, woodgate, richards all over-rated. and fancy that, all english.

Rooney is a good player, he is not the second coming of Maradona as he was being lauded a few years ago. I think for the money they paid for him and someone continually classed as "world class" i would be looking for a bit more from him. He hasnt progressed the way people thought he would after Euro 04. Oh and he is a hateful c*nt........

And Vidic is an awesome defender.

Thanks for helping to prove my point :D

He's a very good defender, but i mean over-rated in terms of United fans are calling him the best in the world along with Ferdinand, which he's not. Just think the way united are set up, and the fact he two top class players in Ferdinand and Evra playing with him hide his frailties. How many games in that 9 game or whatever it is unbeaten run have you seen where Vidic has actually had a tough game? Practically every one of them have been versus teams set up to defend where he's had nothing to do.
