Hassony Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 along the lines of Andy's polls If you can have any liverpool player (at his peak) from the past join us now for the rest of the season, who would it be?
Stevie H Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 terry mcdermott. he'd play the right in the three, score twelve goals and get fifteen assists between now and the end of the season. and bring some much needed hirsuteness to the side.

smithdown Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Dalglish would put Torres through for fun.Barnes would give him loads of tap ins.Keegan would run the defence ragged for him.Souness and Gerrard would grab every game by the scruff of the neck. I'll go for a young Ian Callaghan. Wouldn't have to worry about the right wing for twenty years.
Amit83 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 (edited) Barnes, Kenny, Souness, Rush, McMannaman, Fowler, Beardsley - Anyone of these in their prime would do. But Kenny in behind Nando would be Class Edited January 7, 2009 by Mash83

smithdown Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Its only a six month loan deal! I'd say John Barnes but I'm not sure he'd take it over his Jamaica contract.
Will Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 The heart says Sammy Lee, the head says Emlyn Hughes for his versatility, quality and drive
Billy Dane Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 John BarnesIan CallaghanPhil NealAlan Kennedy
fred Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I'd have Billy Liddell - we need a player with steel capped boots.
Boca Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Stevie Nicol. Left side sorted and bound to come up with a hat-trick at some stage.
Gravy Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 That's a real tough question, and one that I have just spent far too long mulling over However, my answer is 10 John Barnes. Goals and the creativity to unlock the defence.
magneto Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 You have to be clever about it. Bringing Barnes back (my favourite player) would be great but Riera is doing the job. Where we're lacking considerably is a right wing and a pacy right full back.

Can't look further than Barnesy then Edited January 7, 2009 by Woodsyla

stonty Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 John Barnes, and make Babel watch him 24 hrs a day with one of those Clockwork Orange indoctrination gadgets strapped to his head
AE Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Barnes pre injury just over Kenny. Mainly based on Rafa's formations, but it is a VERY close call.
fabfive Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Actually McManaman on the left would do as well. If we were to go 4-4-2...then Rush with Torres would be out of this world. Or Fowler. The problem is we have so many greats of yesteryear. Hughes would be a good choice. Rob Jones?
Knox_Harrington Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Dalglish, Barnes or run-in Markus Babbel.
beejay Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Has to be Dalglish. Let Stevie G run the midfield, King Kenny & Torres would destroy defences & we would walk the league
