CarraLegend Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Does this guy actually have anything to his game apart from taking a decent free kick? It's no wonder they've never won (or went ages without winning) when he's played in the league, he is absolutely horrific. He's hopeless defensively.
Sion Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 He's terribleTypical hyped us British Spurs player
Alonso Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Not as bad as Lennon, boy was he poor. The amount of times he had the ball and did absolutely jack with it. Hope we don't go anywhere near him.
Whitey Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Just watched the game, and thought the same - Bale looked very slow, and poor on the ball.Lennon looked dangerous until he tried to pass anything, then he looked about the same level - Everton reserves.
Benitez Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Not as bad as Lennon, boy was he poor. The amount of times he had the ball and did absolutely jack with it. Hope we don't go anywhere near him. that first half was a capsule of Lennon as a player. A headless chicken, thick as pigs****, and can't cross a ball.
goodrobotusses Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Bale does seem to be slipping into the role of the "new Ian Harte" quite nicely.
Swipe Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Bale's ugly too. Looks like one of the Bisto kids
ChrisC Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Bale's ugly too. Looks like one of the Bisto kids
Rimbeux Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 He's another obsessed with his hair, c*** just cant leave it alone so much so that he's now developed an affliction or tick. I'd advise him and Bentley to go grade one and see their concentration improve a deal, I'd even fine them for playing with their hair during the game
stressederic Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Wasn't Tuesday the first time he's won a game whilst playing for Spurs?
New York Red Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Bale's ugly too. Looks like one of the Bisto kids Absolutely awesome call.
spacemonkey Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 17 league games and still no win for Bale...
Serko Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 17 league games and still no win for Bale... I thought it was 20 and according to the stas on the BBC he's played 21 league games for them.
CarraLegend Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 I see Spurs improved as soon as he was subbed yesterday, he's dire.
Bigal Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I laughed yesterday when he shot, literally, it was 40 yards out. Nowhere near.
Swipe Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I see Spurs improved as soon as he was subbed yesterday, he's dire. Astoundingly poor. My da is a Spurs supporter and he was yelling for him to be taken off! I'd never heard of him while at Southhampton to be honest, but a whole lot of people on here where annoyed that we didn't sign up (we were supposedly interested). Thank f***, I say. Seems all his hype was borne out of scoring a few free kicks.
Sion Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) but a whole lot of people on here where annoyed that we didn't sign up (we were supposedly interested). not only that, but after he had a decent debut (think he scored a couple of goals in his first 2 months, or something like that) a load of muppets used it against Rafa and Parry 'Missed out on a great youngster again' '£10m looks a bargain' 'Our tightness in the transfer market costs us again' Just goes to show, fans are on the whole, stupid. Swagger Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Good thing we didn't sign him, as we would have missed out on Dossena ...

It gave a chance for our Welsh fans to be a bit Irish
