I can confirm the club shop have been ordering extra Z's and K's

£15 million is the price quoted in that article and i don't see how we can spend that amount of money on somebody without shipping out at least 2 players for decent fees.

The Polish piece is 4 weeks old and Real Madrid have changed manager since.

BILD know next to nothing and he is not a £15m player.

There is probably something in it though.

Terrible source really, but he looks a cracking little player, versatile too.

Can't see us spending that either, especially with the € rate.

In other words, Ripley thinks the article is bolleaux, but might be right

Cool!

I don't think the article is right. Few things in BILD ever are.

They simply seem to be keeping the pot boiling on something that almost certainly has weight from other sources while over-egging the value.

That also says we're trying to bring Adriano in, can't say I don't like him as a player when he's on form but I also can't see it being true as I don't think he's a Rafa player in the least. He'd be exactly what we need in terms of power and ability up front and a compliment for Torres but could he really change his attitude and work rate to suit Rafa?

Wouldn't mind "Kuba" but not for 15m euro.

kuba's stats according to this site:

2008/2009: Games 15, 1 Goals, 5 Assists

2007/2008: Games 22, 1 Goals, 3 Assists

Anyone who follows german footy, how has his season been so far?

Talking of german footy anyone know if Ribery is back ?

Adriano on a loan would be a great deal

He's had a lot of niggly injuries through the early part of it and was understandably out of form when he just came back. He's VERY quick off the ball but needs to work on his game when he has it. He isnt anywhere near the finished article to command a 15 million fee and is quite inconsistent to boot, but i guess Rafa sees something in him. He's a direct player who scores nowhere near what he should but provides a lot of assists, can use both his feet and likes to run at defenders. I dont watch a lot of German football, but this fellow stays on his feet a lot more than what i see Spaniards do in their league which is sometimes good to see. 6 million pounds was the deal banded about last summer, where did 15 come from apart from a quote by their manager saying 'even 15 million wouldnt allow AC Milan to get him' or summat.

On a different note, if we sign Kuba it opens up a idea of a 352 with Dossena and Kuba as wingbacks. Both fullbacks have played wingback in a back 5 before (Kuba with Wisla and Dossena at Udinese) and we have 4 very good centrehalves. Also, i can see us signing Johnson and Heskey but not Johnson and Kuba.

Does he purely rely on his speed to get past player? What player would you compare him to in the PL?

He's scored 1 goal in 15 games I believe, got a few assists too

From what i've seen of him he's a similar player to Riera, in that he won't get a lot of goals or handfuls of assists, but his general all round play is very good and effective. He has a nice touch and he's pretty quick as well.

He has a lot of potential which he rarely showed under Dortmund's previous manager, but the new guy seems to have gotten him playing more consistently at a higher level.

He'd be worth a gamble at around the same price we paid for Riera, but at £15m, it'd be a massive gamble, as he coule easily turn out the same level as Pennant

From what the other lad says he sounds like the opposite of Riera. All pace and no control is the anti-Riera.

I didn't mean playing style, i meant in what he would contribute, hence the

Wouldn't say he has no control, think that's very unfair. Certainly wouldn't be in the bottom 5 attackers in terms of control at the club if he were to join us.

Really? If anything i think he's closer to Mark Gonzales than Riera. I say this because he'll knock it past a defender with a shuffle and then use his pace to get past the player than pure trickey, quite unlike Riera. He's technically sound though, so maybe there is a relation with the Riera comparisions.

Edit: Just got your context now..

But the lad has heart and he'll not hide even if he's having a bad game, which is always good to see in a young player. He's also at the right age to move to a big club without being too fazed by it. I think he'll cost lesser than what Babel did for us, he's not 19..he's 23.
