Tones Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 According to SSN. Though he says he will hold off on committing his future until the end of the season. Sounds very familiar that.
Sion Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 will hold off on committing his future until the end of the season he can see whether Newcastle go down or if he can get a better offer
stressederic Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Taken from the BBC However, despite refusing to sign a new three-year contract offer, he has announced he simply wants more time to decide, adding "it is not about money". "I hope this will be seen as a positive and not disloyal in any way," he said. Well I can't see how it could possibly be viewed as disloyal or concerned with money.
Murphman Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Brings it all back. I'd almost forgiven him.
Chili Palmer Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 he got what he wanted last time by playing the same deceitful game, why would he change?
Minder78 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I wonder will he wake up in 20 years time and realise he screwed up being such a turd.
Nebraska Red Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 he'll be a rich turd though. hope we never sign him.
Minder78 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 he'll be a rich turd though. hope we never sign him. He would have been a rich turd regardless
New York Red Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 What a chiseler. If you want a mercenary, he's your man. If you want to improve your team, the run like hell from him. It's really awful how he plays this little game. He was so bloody awesome from 1998-2002. Since then he has successfully sh*t all over his own legacy.
Swagger Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 It's really awful how he plays this little game. He was so bloody awesome from 1998-2002. Since then he has successfully sh*t all over his own legacy. That's a bit extreme, IMO, although he's only got himself to blame for ending up at such a crap team. Whst he is essentially doing is waiting for a bigger club to come in, and if none does, he'll say that he intended to stay at Newcastle all along.
Cunny Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 he does not know who the Newcastle owner or manager will be next season.I wouldn't be signing anything if I was him.
Billy Dane Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 he does not know who the Newcastle owner or manager will be next season.I wouldn't be signing anything if I was him. Agree. Also doesn't his current contract pay him 100k a week? Why sign a new one that is reportedly going to pay him 25-30k a week less until necessary?
LondonLiverpoolFan Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 (edited) I'd still have him back at Anfield.... Edited December 23, 2008 by LondonLiverpoolFan

He did all this to us, a 'bigger club' came in and off he went to watch the European Cup Final on telly in Spanish. hehehe....

Nerik Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Could move twice in his career for the grand total of 8m in transfer fees.
Chili Palmer Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Could move twice in his career for the grand total of 8m in transfer fees. Newcastle got him cheap!
AE Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I'd still have him back at Anfield.... So would I.I would welcome him and Andy's season ticket with open arms
Flight Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Oh how we laughed when all the Geordies turned up at the ground for his signing, knowing what was to come.
Andy @ Allerton Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Taken from the BBCWell I can't see how it could possibly be viewed as disloyal or concerned with money. Ha ha ha. Indeed. If the Newcastle fans believe that given his past history then they are nuts He'll probably sign for Manchester City on £400k a week.
Dmitch Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 i will never forgive Owen for what he did to us... we LOVED him and he s*it all over our loyalty...bollo*ks to him. Hope he rots at Newcastle for the rest of his carear in the championship!
