I was working there when they did that one year.

I met Richie Partridge!

He made Messi look like Pennant, apparently.

I remember one game on the old Championship Manager i sold him to Newcastle for £11.5m after 3 first team appearances.

Basically summed up that game and that club !

I remember in 1990 my daughter was in Alder Hey and I had gone back to my dads for a shower and a break. Some of the players came in with pressies and I missed them. I was right peed off.

Who's that bloke in the black shirt and dark hair? Looks like a Swiss defender we used to have, but is clearly able to walk so can't be him...

Fantastic thing to do, but isn't it heartbreaking to look at the poor little fella in the last picture? The blonde nurse in the middle....ahem ;)

Good to see Degen is fit for something!

He was already in the hospital - he just limped across from the neighbouring ward where he's been living since August

Fair play, many players do those hospital visits more often during the year. Always wondered though how many of them must be Everton fans and throwing the players daggers.

This is going to turn arond Keane's lean spell too. New man after that visit

Irish striker Robbie Keane added:.

"Being here today puts things into perspective for all of us. As players sometimes we can moan about small things, but when you come to hospital and see the kids you really feel sorry for them and their parents.
