growler Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 what has saved us, is our away form. Out of the next 6 games, 5 are away, and a good chance to get somewhere before we get a cash-induced man city come our way. If we are still within 3-5 points of the top by the end of feb, we will still be in with a good shout. Sunday 21st December Barclays Premier League 16:00 Arsenal vs Liverpool Friday 26th December Barclays Premier League 15:00 Liverpool vs Bolton Sunday 28th December Barclays Premier League 14:00 Newcastle vs Liverpool Saturday 10th January Barclays Premier League 15:00 Stoke vs Liverpool Tuesday 27th January Barclays Premier League 19:45 Wigan vs Liverpool Saturday 7th February Barclays Premier League 15:00 Portsmouth vs Liverpool Saturday 21st February Barclays Premier League 15:00 Liverpool vs Man City Saturday 28th February Barclays Premier League 15:00 Middlesbrough vs Liverpool
dorgie Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 You've omitted the home game against Everton on 19th January, not even the PL fixture computer would throw up 5 out of 6 games being away.
Gunga Din Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 i reckon our next game is our most important in 19 years. or something

I agree, he should try a different method..'Our next game is sort of important, not as important as Chelseas or Man Utds, but if we could win it would be nice...'
Knox_Harrington Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Top of the form guide for the last six aren't we? A continuation of that will be nice...

stressederic Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 It's probably Arsenal's most important game of the season so far. If they lose then they're pretty much out of it really.

Gunga Din Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Molby said: it is and nothing you or anyone else says will change that fact i'd say the two Euroepan Cup finals against Milan were more important. there is 2. then there are the 3 semi's against Chelsea. then, there is the away league game at Chelsea this season which was a massive game for us, and then the Mancs at home which was a bigger game than this..... and so on and so forth

Couldn't agree more. It's going to be a long season if one of those pops up before every game. What happens if we reach a cup final is anybody's guess

Man City away was perhaps not as an important game on paper, but the result was massive for us. its one of our most difficult games this weekend, a place where are recent league record isnt great, and its a game that would be brilliant to win, but right now i'd take a point

Must have misread the fixture list.

Kahnee Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Molby said: ffs there or there abouts then anyway, we played first so what are you on about? You've misunderstood his mistaken use of the past tense. He meant would the Arsenal game be less important if we were currently second? And as I tried to get you to see before, can you not see the link between you ratcheting up the tension with your "biggest game since lunchtime" threads with the reason people boo? I'm not blaming you specifically, I should add, just pointing out the common issues between the two threads
