stressederic Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 With the way results are going (and have gone) today it's important for us to get the points tomorrow. At the same time though it's also important for everyone (players and supporters) to stay calm and controlled if we don't score in the first 15 minutes.
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Simply have to win this now.
Sion Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 If we don't win this, i'm gonna f*** something/body up
redjersey Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Simply have to win this now.Yeh. The game just grew massively in importance. It's time to step up and take our chance.
lfc003 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Gonna be a nervous and tense atmosphere if we don't score early
Falconhoof Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 We need to give West Ham a good hiding. I'd take 7 nil.
baz2107 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 reinaarbeloa Carra Agger Insua (though i think it will be Dossena)Babel Gerrard Alonso RieraKeane Kuyt although i think rafa will play the 3 in the middle so Masch will play instead of Babel, not that i think we need two holding players for this game
smithdown Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Bloody 'ell. We could go top here. Bloody 'ell. Am I ready for this?
Swipe Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Bloody 'ell. We could go top here. Bloody 'ell. Am I ready for this? You were born ready...
Smith Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Bloody 'ell. We could go top here. Bloody 'ell. Am I ready for this? I know I ain't now, but I will be tomorrow. As Gunga Din said in another thread, it's time to stand up and be counted.
Swipe Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Every one of our players should now be chomping at the bit, texting each other, poking each other on Facebook making sure they all know what's at stake. Massive game
smithdown Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Every one of our players should now be chomping at the bit, texting each other, poking each other on Facebook making sure they all know what's at stake. Building up to a mass round robin ar*se-kicking session before they run onto the pitch. This is biggo.
Chili Palmer Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 (edited) The players need to really make a statement tomorrow, win and its on, lose or draw and it will allow doubts to creep in. Edited November 30, 2008 by Chili Palmer
Smith Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Building up to a mass round robin ar*se-kicking session before they run onto the pitch. This is biggo. I read that differently. I really hope to see Keane and Kyut up front with Babel and Riera starting as well.
Swipe Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I read that differently. I really hope to see Keane and Kyut up front with Babel and Riera starting as well. Agree Reina Arbeloa Carra Agger Dossena Babel Gerrard Alonso Reira Kuyt Keane.. ...for me. Really go at West Ham from the start
Andy-oh-six Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Agree Reina Arbeloa Carra Agger Dossena Babel Gerrard Alonso Reira Kuyt Keane.. ...for me. Really go at West Ham from the start That's what I would like to see but can't see it happening. I doubt Babel is going to start so if we go with Kuyt and Keane upfront it will be Yossi on the right. Rafa will probably stick with Keane up front with Gerrard behind and Kuyt on the right.

Duncan Disorderly Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Massive gameCalmness and perspective needed. It'll only be our 15th game of the season and there's a long way to go. But we have a team of captains/leaders and it'll be nice to be clear at the top coming up to Xmas.
BDB Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 It would be very nice to be top at the start of December.
Swagger Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I'm inclined to go with the following: ReinaArbeloa Carra Agger DossenaKuyt Gerrard Alonso ReiraKeane Babel Although I think that Rafa will probably go with Benayoun on the right and Kuyt upfront. I just hope Rafa doesn't go with Keane alone upfront, supported by Gerrard.
Saintslfc13 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I'd like to see Babel have a go up front with Kuyt. Put Keane on the bench and have one of Pennant, or Yossi on the right. Babel is always talking about how he wants to be a striker so I say Rafa just humours the kid and gives him a chance. I know the manager can't conform to players desires all the time, but maybe it will show Babel that if he's patient he'll get his chances and then it's up to him if he can take them or not. The reason I'd want Kuyt up there with Babel is I think Keane's attitude would be counterproductive with a young player up next to him. Not to mention Kuyt if obviously the more in form of the two.
Alonso Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Really wouldn't be surprised to see Lucas get a start, maybe something like: Lucas Alonso/Masch Kuyt Gerrard Riera/Babel Keane
