Henry on the way to Anfield?

Perhaps it's just me, but there seems to be a fair few mentions nowdays of Gerrards 'best friend' Henry on the official site. He seems to be very interested in happenings at Liverpool and seems to comment quite a lot recently. There is another story up today about how Liverpool could challenge for the title - and Gerrard could lift the 'Premier' League cup..

 

Just wondering now if these repeated opinions are just a 'co-incidence' or if there is some kind of bid being lined up in January?

 

The fella is 31 years old, but is one of the best strikers to play in the league since Football began ™©® (1992)

 

I personally would love to see him play for us. He comes across to me as a model professional and he always seems to have had a soft spot for the Reds..

 

Is it possible? Would he add anything? Is he too old? Would he sign for a rival to Arsenal? If available would the mancs tap him up/snap him up first?

depends on the price, but when torres is injured we do look a little weak up front, with keane not hitting form and kuyt not being a prolific goalscorer

He's said on a number of ocassions he couldn't play for another English club. One of these ocassions being just a few weeks ago IIRC.

Doubt he'd go back on his word.

In this instance the 'Rafa player' would be overlooked IMO. He has probably two seasons left in him, so its not as if he would need to fit into Rafa's long term plans as he would be a short term fix.

 

A front line of Torres and Henry would be f***ing amazing and if he was to be added in Jan then who knows where we could be come May.

Not ashamed to say I think Henry is an absolutely fantastic player who would improve anyone. He's starting to get going at Barca though so it prob wont happen.

Was their highest scorer last term and only one behind Messi, who got the most, in assists. All from largely playing on the wing, not up front. I'd be astonished if they let him go anywhere.

Read the the thread starter and assumed that the 'corrupt cheating UEFA officials' had accidently revealed that Liverpool had drawn Barca in the last 16 of this years CL.
