Spiblish Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) Another made up Daily Mail story!!! Should say Rome not Roma as it is actually Lazio - alledgedly! EDIT - fixed for you Edited November 20, 2008 by Macca
Morgul Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 "Macherano has not been a regular starter for Liverpool this season, manager Rafa Benitez preferring a central midfield partnership of Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso. The Argentinian has been frustrated by his lack of playing time which Lazio hope to capitalise on." Haha.

Benitez Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Not a regular starter. Seems to start when he's fit or hasn't travelled half way round the world for a game doesn't he?
Spiblish Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Not a regular starter. Seems to start when he's fit or hasn't travelled half way round the world for a game doesn't he?Exactly! He is definitely one of Rafa's 1st 11!!!
Chili Palmer Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 He is a player that will stay loyal to Rafa. Says he owes him a lot.
Hassony Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 He is a player that will stay loyal to Rafa. Says he owes him a lot. But that was before the lure of a european giant like Lazio being linked with him
carrafan Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) I heard Torres was unhappy because he didnt start against Bolton. Now he wants to play for Crewe. Edited November 20, 2008 by carrafan
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Not a regular starter. Seems to start when he's fit or hasn't travelled half way round the world for a game doesn't he?yeah but, how many games has either he or Torres not started. It's a fecking joke. (NB - don't look beneath the surface, ineligibility doesn't count here)
smithdown Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I heard Torres was unhappy because he didnt start against Bolton. Now he wants to play for Crewe. Bas*tard agents get these ideas in their heads.
JRC Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 "Macherano has not been a regular starter for Liverpool this season, manager Rafa Benitez preferring a central midfield partnership of Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso. As long as it's nothing to do with the world-class midfielder with a similar name....
Jarg Armani Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 t*** of an article from t*** of a paper.next.
MarkD Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Was it the same paper who ran the Skrtl story? Let's have a guess for who is leaving tomorrow? Reina - being dropped for Carling Cup was last straw.
Zoob Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Was it the same paper who ran the Skrtl story? Let's have a guess for who is leaving tomorrow? Reina - being dropped for Carling Cup was last straw. Apparently it's not the papperazi that's been following Skrtel around, it's Mascherano. And because Skrtel wants to leave (confirmation here ) Mascherano is doing the groundwork for his escape too, particularly given the disappointing season we're having.
Hassony Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 so thats Agger, skrtel and Mascherano leaving in january (in addition to pennant and Yossi)
Zoob Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 so thats Agger, skrtel and Mascherano leaving in january (in addition to pennant and Yossi) Don't forget Arbeloa - Athletico are interested, and apparently he's not gonna sign until Rafa gets a new deal.
smithdown Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I just hope that's enough to stop Hicks from having to sell Torres
matty Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Some journalists are only paid when they have a story in the paper. They are called stringers. They make stuff up so they can eat and pay the rent etc.
Bailo Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Some journalists are only paid when they have a story in the paper. They are called stringers. They make stuff up so they can eat and pay the rent etc.Pretty weird parents this writer had, calling their son "Sportsmail Reporter".
R A Softlad Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I heard Torres was unhappy because he didnt start against Bolton. Now he wants to play for Crewe. What a load of tosh! It was Accrington Stanley!
aka Dus Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Some journalists are only paid when they have a story in the paper. They are called stringers. They make stuff up so they can eat and pay the rent etc. Very few stringers are paid per published piece in the UK. More often stringers are paid by the day and are assigned multiple tasls rather than complete pieces. That there's no byline in this piece suggests this was not written by a stringer. However sports agency have to have their stories picked up by the papers in order to get paid. This sounds like one of those.
floyd Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 They make stuff up so they can eatMartin Samuel would have to produce an English version of Gazzetta dello Sport everyday, just to stop withering away.
