sutty Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Hmmmm One of those where you have to laugh Defensive shambles 1st half, it's hard to see somebody who did anything positive Only Lucas, Plessis and Babel come out of the 1st half looking anything more than utter c****. Degen and Dossena were a shambles but at least Degen improved after the break To be fair, 2nd half saw improvements from a few, El Zhar, Ngog... But Torres inclusion was pointless tonight. If we wanted to have an evening jog, he could have done that anywhere Not arsed overall, but we need Reina and Arbeloa to stay fit, that's for sure
Maldini Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I thought Plessis was AWOL from the start until he went off, they were just walking past him, the difference Xabi made only emphasised how bad Plessis had been. I still don't know why we signed Ngog. I didn't think Degen was that bad, Dossena was awful though.
killiered Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 i think the team selection tonight showed to everyone Rafas seriousness about going for the league. Performance could have been better mind...

Degen was awful in the 1st half from my view, worse than Dossena and I thought Dossena ploughed a brand new path in shambolic leftbackery
Tetti Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Comedy capers ( and that was just the 2 and a half hour, 10 mile trip to get home). Seriously, I enjoyed the few minutes after we first scored. I think that was the extent of it. How is that goalie? he looked dead.

I actually semi enjoyed it It would have been more annoying if we'd been better
Tetti Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Apparently it was a minor facial injury Probably the only thing Degen hit full on all night. Glad he is alright though, He was out cold at first.
smithdown Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 He's alright for Saturday, Harry said. I think it was just his eyelid flipped inside out and they all wanted a look. The cryer.

Kvarme Ate My Food Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 just back myself. Plessis was shocking, as were both full backs. Hyypia stood off unforgivably before the cross for their first goal. Did OK after that

Did OK after thattime is it? half one in blighty? just up here and people are still letting off fireworks from last night. bizarre.

Did OK after that Sami was a bit soft for their 4th goal as well I thought Plessis did OK, given the fact that everybody around him was so s***
johngibo YPC Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Sami was a bit soft for their 4th goal as well I thought Plessis did OK, given the fact that everybody around him was so s*** He scored anywayIf everyone would have scored we'd have won 11-4
DanielS Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Ngog makes Traore look graceful. I've seen better co-ordinated newborn giraffes.
Bigal Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Apparently it was a minor facial injury Paul Walsh implied there was nothing wrong with him on SSN, He reckoned after them 2 mistakes he was pretending
carrafan Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 The 'injury' came at just the wrong time for us. We had just scored and were putting a lot of pressure on them.
Gravy Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Apparently it was a minor facial injury Degen should have got to the ball well before Gomes and put it in the net. Degen looked very poor but it was his first game so the jury is out. Dossena however is s****!! And I afraid agree with Ant. 18 months he has bveen here now and he is frustrating the hell out of me.
Woodsyla Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Sami was a bit soft for their 4th goal as well I thought Plessis did OK, given the fact that everybody around him was so s***Plessis f***ed me off by getting stupidly dispossessed in the run up to their 4th goal. Apart from that he did ok. It's one of those games I'd have been delighted if we won, and I don't really give a stuff that we lost.

That goal was the definition of footballing inexperience Having got back into the game, they got over excited. s*** over keen pass played to Plessis, s*** awareness from plessis, s*** tackle from Sami, s*** covering from Dossena.
Woodsyla Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 And I afraid agree with Ant. 18 months he has bveen here now and he is frustrating the hell out of me.I thought Ant had been here longer than that

That kind of sums up the night quite well, a load of s*** !!! I am also f***ed off we didn't get the pen at 4-2, I reckon had we got that we would have got level. Actually, I care a bit more than I thought I would !!!
Tones Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I thought Ant had been here longer than that very good!
