sutty Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 That was f***ing quality on Saturday - was in the main stand and it was funny. For those who didn't see it, midway through the 2nd half Rafa was on the touchline gesticulating wildly as per the norm.. The baggies fans start singing "mowbray, give us a wave" Mowbray obliges Then they sing "Rafa, give us a wave" Rafa looks confused and sits back down on the bench, laughing but doesn't wave. A chorus of boooos from the baggies. Rafa gets back up again. "Rafa, give us a wave" Rafa waves half embarrassed, massive round of applause, so he waves again, loads of times. He never waves at us that much
fred milne Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Didn't they sing "you fat bast*rd" after he waived?
Chili Palmer Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Didn't they sing "you fat bast*rd" after he waived? was dossena on the bench?
sutty Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 Didn't they sing "you fat bast*rd" after he waived? They sang "Rafa is an albion fan"
Mike Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 They sang "Rafa is an albion fan" they did both
Barnesy_10 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 (edited) they also sang 'City Reject!' at Riera and 'Leeds Reject' at Keane... I assume both players were very much offended by this. Edited November 10, 2008 by Barnesy_10
Sion Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 They were the typical small club away followingCome to the ground expecting a CL Semi atmosphere Pretend they don't care about the result and try to sing to mask their disappointment at how s**** their team isSing anti-liverpool/scouse songs and think it's the first time they've ever been sungquite pathetic really
sutty Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 they also sang 'City Reject!' at Riera and 'Leeds Reject' at Keane... I assume both players were very much offended by this. Nah, both were at Keane. I don't think they sang leeds reject It was wolves and coventry that was the issue for them, unsurprisingly

Jeff guitar Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 love it when they sing those type of songs. "2-0 and you still dont sing""where gonna win 3-2""your support is fooking s***""shall we sing a song for you" Means that where usually winning comfortably. heard "Torres is an albion fan" as well

casey Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 They were singing, making a noise and enjoying themselves. Good on them.
carrafan Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 They were singing, making a noise and enjoying themselves. Good on them. Yep.

Good on them for having a laugh.
smithdown Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I didn't hear "Oh I do like to be beside the seaside..." and for this I will be issuing a strongly worded public statement condemning our lacklustre support later, at some point.
Will Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I didn't hear "Oh I do like to be beside the seaside..." and for this I will be issuing a strongly worded public statement condemning our lacklustre support later, at some point.I heard it from the Kop...
Sion Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 (edited) Do you realise how patronising you sound? Yep, not that patronising at all. Come to the ground expecting a CL Semi atmosphere - just read one of their forums - and yep, i'm right on that count, all moaning about how our 'famous atmosphere' was rubbish Pretend they don't care about the result and try to sing to mask their disappointment at how s**** their team is - Also true, not like they're bloody Havant and Waterlooville, they're a Premier League side.Sing anti-liverpool/scouse songs and think it's the first time they've ever been sung - Yep, i'm right again. They clearly thought songs like 'sign on sign on' or 'fat spanish waiter' are actually funny/worth singing. Sick of unoriginal groups of fans thinking they're being witty Not like i'm saying our support is wonderful, it's s**** most of the time nowadays. Edited November 10, 2008 by Sion
Barnesy_10 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Nah, both were at Keane. I don't think they sang leeds reject It was wolves and coventry that was the issue for them, unsurprisinglyI definitely heard City reject when Riera had the ball and could have sworn that I heard Leeds too....
Jacks Jackie Jackson Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 (edited) There's a section of right dick heads who sit in a corner of that Main Stand near the away fans that make me despair. The only time they ever sing is when we go 1 up and then they entertain everyone with the devastatingly original, "you're not singing any more"! It's no wonder they get loads back off the opposition. Guest Ant Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 There seemed to be a bunch of our fans goading the WBA fans in a d****eadish way in the lower Anny.
benno2 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I definitely heard City reject when Riera had the ball and could have sworn that I heard Leeds too....One of them would have been Dingle reject, WBA's name for Wolves fans. This version is also available in mp3 format incredibly.
Barnesy_10 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Hate that Robbie Keane song of ours to be honest.... hardly an inspiring song for him and just seems to be a way of venting fury at the fans who did sing 'Keano' at ths start of the season. Am sure they have learned their lesson now, lets move on with another song.
