CHRed Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I noticed in Reina elbow incident, there were 2/3 players surrounding JT and Carra also got involved, pushed him and told him to clear off. Contrast that to when Reina got sent off at the Bridge and not no one came to back him up when he was being surrounded. - That shows togetherness Also, Babel having a go at Mash, Gerrad on Kuyt when he got in his way etc This is really a team now and they are showing a real toetherness, not accepting 2nd best but demanding improvement from each other. We could have something special here.......................
Nerik Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Whenever someone has a go at Masch he always gets a "f*** OFF!" or two from him in return lol
matty Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 What's changed most is that Rafa has now managed to assemble a team not just of quality players, but of massively hard working and dedicated players, all these wins from behind, and the determination required to beat Utd and Chelsea - comes from work, organisation and commitment. What Rafa built at Valencia was a team of quality, each of whom knew their job and where to be when another player went out of position. The addition of people like Kuyt, Keane, Riera shows he is doing the same thing here. Add the class of Babel and Torres to that. It is a joy to behold. We now need luck with injuries and a fair wind.
Skillz Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Rafa's built a team. Taken a bit longer than he or we wanted but it's here. Have a look at Hyypia's cameo, I mean this bloke is lucky to get 10 minutes a month these days to impress yet he still does. "THOU SHALL NOT PASS"

"THOU SHALL NOT PASS" Bringing Hyypia on yesterday was Rafa's check-mate move.
StevieC Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Bringing Hyypia on yesterday was Rafa's check-mate move. Aye- it was back to Mourinho's plan B to hoof it to Huth (or Terry in this case) but the fekker had no chance against a Finn with a massive heeeeed.
