LondonRed Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) Zaki Was thinking about zaki on the trip home saturday evening, and i think he's excatly the type of player Rafa would go for. Big, strong, great work rate for a full 90 and not only scores goals-but good finishes at that. Just not sure if he's already somthing that we've got in torres/keane/kuyt combined. Kun Im just hoping Rafa hasnt lost his interest in this boy, i've dreamt of him in our shirt for too long now Edited October 20, 2008 by LondonRed
LondonRed Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 Aguro is a liverpool supporter isn't he yes as far as i know according to his wikipedia profile.
pawlu Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Rafa said "everyone's checking his situation now" about Zaki, hardly confirmation that he wants to buy him.
Spion kop Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Rafa loves buying strikers who score 2 against us.

Hassony Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Man city is a good shout with the arabic connection there I wonder if he can continue his scoring run gor the whole season, or is he like Mido, where he will start in excellent form for his new club before fading away
LondonRed Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 I wonder if he can continue his scoring run gor the whole season, or is he like Mido, where he will start in excellent form for his new club before fading away its difficult to tell if he would be able to raise his game for a bigger club. He's got little pressure on him at Wigan but he looks like he's in better shape then Mido and has more to his game then him to.

He's got little pressure on him at Wigan but he looks like he's in better shape then Mido and has more to his game then him to. Mido is more skilful, but he does seem to have an attitude and a weight problem, Plus Zaki is still an unkown to most defenders, how will he cope when defenders start to learn how deal with him. I think Mido will move to wigan in january, so they will have an all egyptian forward line would love to see someone buying Abu tarika, who is probably Egypt's best player
cymrococh Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Kun Im just hoping Rafa hasnt lost his interest in this boy, i've dreamt of him in our shirt for too long nowHe's only been playing properly for 2 years
johngibo YPC Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Not sure we would have got a work permit for him at 17 anyway. European teams always seem to find it easier for some reasonRafa probably thought he couldn't risk spending £14m on a 17 yr old at that point. re Zaki, has a price been mentioned yet? Have Wigan got one agreed? 6m was mentioned in the Mirror today i think
LondonRed Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) He's only been playing properly for 2 years and i've know about him before his athletico days tyvm..we dont all use youtube to scout players all the time Edited October 20, 2008 by LondonRed

LondonRed Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 So what did you use? took me a while to figure tyvm out. well i first heard about him through someone i used to work with years ago and then tried to keep up on what he was like via match reports, clips, international youth games - namely the 2005 world youth cup..im not saying im a genius on his career and know everything about him but i hope that answers your question.
