Jim D Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Xabi seems to have developed a good habit in getting opposition players sent off. Remarkable skill, never seen anything like it. Vidic vs MancsCahill vs EvertonZabaleta vs Man CityValencia vs Wigan Who is going to be his next victim?

Zoob Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 It's pretty strange given that they've all been completely justified red / 2nd yellow card fouls. Maybe it's managers telling players to get at Alonso cos he doesn't like being pressured when on the ball, and the players take it too far...

Or Alonso is setting up a rhythm with his passing and the opposition players are panicking and trying to close him down to quickly.
Guest Silkky Skillz Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 He owes Lampard one. Hope he tries to tackle Xabi, get a red card and gets injured for the rest of the season...
Cooger Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 In my opinion, week in, week out Alonso has been our best player this season. He's upped his game and I think he's been brilliant.
Gerry Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 We should be thankful that not one of those challenges has hurt him seriously. The string of piss-poor challenges he's had to put up with had been disgraceful.

The string of piss-poor challenges he's had to put up with had been disgraceful. Yeah, I agree. Would be nice to see Gerrard step up and do a "Keane" against one of the attackers once in a while. Not meaning he should do what he did to Haaland or anything, but just get in his face and be a bit intimidating.
floyd Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 He owes Lampard one. Hope he tries to tackle Xabi, get a red card and gets injured for the rest of the season...A career ending David Bust type leg break wouldn't go a miss on the tw4t.
Duncan Disorderly Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 In my opinion, week in, week out Alonso has been our best player this season. He's upped his game and I think he's been brilliant.Agreed. He's certainly been our main holding player in midfield with the monster being out.
elmo Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Xabi's brilliant. We also have Skrtel always escaping with his 2nd yellow/red card challenges.
Hassony Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 A career ending David Bust type leg break wouldn't go a miss on the tw4t. I can think of many more players that deserve this more than Lampard Drogba, Terry, Deco, Ballack and A Cole just to name a few from chelsea
Jim D Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Lampard Can I have the lottery numbers for next Saturday? So Xabi claims another victim
Maldini Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Disgusting out of Sky trying to insinuate s*** about him this evening. Notice they didn't show the incidents, I wonder why!
Tommy Cockles Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Can I have the lottery numbers for next Saturday? So Xabi claims another victim Often wondered how best one might use that smilie. No longer.

madaboutlfc Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 what did they do? try to make out that he dived?espn had McMahon McAteer and Babb.. they were refreshingly good..
Stevie H Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 espn had McMahon McAteer and Babb.. they were refreshingly good..no they weren't!
stressederic Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 espn had McMahon McAteer and Babb.. they were refreshingly good.. What happened to the other Horseman of the Apocalypse?
Swipe Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 what did they do? try to make out that he dived? Redknapp actually said "Xabi Alonso has done himself no favours by rolling about there". And Keys said something like "that's 6 times this season a player has been red carded after a tackle on Alonso. Not suggesting anything, but there's a stat for you". Sickening. As someone else has pointed out, if they feel Xabi is play acting to get these players sent off then why dont they show the clips and we'll make our minds up about that. c****
Stevie H Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 that's pretty shameful from keys. who was clearly suggesting something. i assume none of these six occasions has seen the red card rescinded no? in which case they legitimate sendings off? i f***ing hate sky.
madaboutlfc Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) no they weren't!having seen Sky cover our games for ten years i found them better than.. yes richard i love your c**k richard from redknapp and other so called experts.. Edited February 2, 2009 by madaboutlfc
