Fatdogmendoza Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Probably a long time till we see him again in action. Good thing to have Agger available although Rafa is hard to figure out and this could just be extra minutes for Sami.

hels smicer Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 .tv I am crossing my fingers with Rafa Poor Martin
Coyler Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Rafa said it was serious, that he came down on his knee, and "we will have to wait for the escán". Doesn't look good at all, with the oxygen and the stretcher. Although the knee is a place of heightened pain sensitivity, isn't it?
Chili Palmer Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 the mans made of f***ing rock, he'll be out for a day and a half.
elmo Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Hope it's similar to CL semifinal one. Fingers crossed.
Ronnie Whelan Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Finger crossed alright. Aside from a couple bad decisions he has been excellent this season.
Smith Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 the mans made of f***ing rock, he'll be out for a day and a half. That's the spirit! I'll give him a week though...
fred Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 On the TV it looked like he did his ankle more than his knee. Anyway, speedy recovery Martin and good luck subbing for him to Agger - can't really see Rafa going for a Carragher / Hyypiä combo...
Cunny Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 thank God we have 4 top quality centrebacks. However, Sami is not in the CL squad - if one of Carra and Agger gets injured we could be short. We could be forced in having to play Arbeloa there. Can dossena play CB?
Maldini Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Nah, it'll only be a problem in the CL, San Jose is ready to step up in the PL if he's needed. In the CL we only have Carra and Agger now with Arbeloa and Kelly as back up.
Joxer Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 If he is out for the season then we can put Sami in the CL squad for the second phase, provided we get there of course.Hope Agger comes in and excels now.Just to add, I thought that Martin was bringing the ball out of defence quite well today.
floyd Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Reports coming through, that the needles going into Martin at the hospital, keep bending.
Gerrardrules Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I've got absolutely no hope that it won't be that serious. I think he's out for the rest of the season.
Chili Palmer Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I've got absolutely no hope that it won't be that serious. I think he's out for the rest of the season. sky sports says that he may be out for several weeks.
Hassony Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I've got absolutely no hope that it won't be that serious. I think he's out for the rest of the season. the question is, will he get a premiership medal when we win the league in may?
Guest Snorky Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Unless we get a good inside lead. we'll just have to wait and see. Gutted for him, but glad Agger will finally get a chance, just wish it was under different circumstances.

Gutted for him, but glad Agger will finally get a chance, just wish it was under different circumstances.Completly agree. Agger now has to step up and show us that all his complaining has been justified. I thought Agger would get his game soon anyway with the amount of booking Skrtel seems to pick up but here is his chance anyway.
BG Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 My guess is the season....likely cruciate. :-( From the way he fell it looked like that was possible. The most concerning thing was his reaction immediately as often when the anterior cruciate ruptures the person feels a kind of 'pop' in the knee. Here's hoping it's not.
Elisha_Scott Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 He walked onto the team bus, so they are hopeful its not as bad as first feared.
Guest Snorky Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 He walked onto the team bus, so they are hopeful its not as bad as first feared. As I said before, unless we get a good inside lead, we'll just have to wait and see.
Guest spk Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 still, looked pretty nasty ... guess we'lll know more tomorrow after hes had a scan and the club puts out a press relief.
johngibo YPC Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 the mans made of f***ing rock, he'll be out for a day and a half. I'm suprised he didn't play on in the leg brace
Romario Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 still, looked pretty nasty ... guess we'lll know more tomorrow after hes had a scan and the club puts out a press relief. That looks nasty. He's a tough M**********R so hopefully it's not too bad. The fact that he "walked" onto the team bus doesn't mean much. My friend did his knee in and with adrenilan flowing walked home only to find out his knee was shot the next day. We'll see. Fingers crossed.
FakeNewsBear Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 (edited) still, looked pretty nasty ... guess we'lll know more tomorrow after hes had a scan and the club puts out a press relief. thats a good way to do your ACL and you can walk after that just lost the ability to turn or bend i f*cked mine and had to wait 18 mths for 1st op working was a tw*t Edited October 5, 2008 by Javi-n A Laugh
