psl Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 (edited) Wonderful achievement for Stevie tonight. 100 goals for a midfield player is incredibly impressive. We're so lucky to have this guy and if he manages to get his hands on the Premier League trophy, I think he has a genuine chance of being considered our best ever. Favourite goals of the 100? (Off the top of my head I'd go) 1. FA Cup Final2. Istanbul3. Olympiakos4. Manchester United at Anfield5. Middlesbrough at home Edited October 1, 2008 by psl
Swipe Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Best in the world. Rafa has helped turn him into the single most destructive midfielder on the planet. Well done stevie.
CarraLegend Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 He's a genius. That scumbag Andy Gray still couldnt bring himself to give Rafa any credit for his goals tally though. Prick.
Swipe Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 He's a genius. That scumbag Andy Gray still couldnt bring himself to give Rafa any credit for his goals tally though. Prick. That was pathetic. Mumbled something about "er, well he's got more experience too. Thats maybe why his tally has improved". c***. Can't even bring himself to use Rafa's full name.

allawee Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 It will be catastrophic and so unfair if he does not win the PL or World Player of the year in his career.
anny road Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 It will be catastrophic and so unfair if he does not win the PL or World Player of the year in his career. world player of the year? f*** that Premier League is the one
psl Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 It will be a real shame if he doesn't get a league title. Carra too.
anny road Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 It will be a real shame if he doesn't get a league title. Carra too. he will though this season
stressederic Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Super goal, exactly the type of goal it should have been for his hundredth. God only knows what that wall was playing at though.
Cunny Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 apparently 72 of those goals are under Rafanot bad considering Rafa plays him out of position all the timef*** off Sky
psl Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 he will though this season Its hard not to feel optimistic at the moment. Will be interesting to see how many points we get from Eastlands and Stamford Bridge. 4 or more and the excitement will build a couple steps more.
stressederic Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 he will though this season Steady. I've been trying very hard to keep those thoughts and feelings at the back of my mind recently.
psl Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 Steady. I've been trying very hard to keep those thoughts and feelings at the back of my mind recently. Tough though isn't it? Just wait till our strikers hit form...
Paul_LFC Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Arsenal at home when we beat them 4-0 and Southampton at home on New Years Day are other contenders. The club are releasing a DVD in December celebrating his 100 goals, that will sell like hot cakes with Christmas etc.
psl Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 Couple at Villa too. One from a move with Murphy and Litmanen and the free kick last year.
stressederic Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Tough though isn't it? Just wait till our strikers hit form... Stop it!
Mr Makaveli Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 I knew he was going to score. I was saying it over and over to the lads during the game. Stevie was so fired up for that game it was unreal. Besides the goal though he played excellently. I tihnk our Stevie has got a shot in the arm from something/somewhere... Not that he needed it! maybe he is taking a look at the premiership table and he smells blood. lads im so f***ing fired up for this season. I dont believe in superstion like some on here but I won't go down that alley anyway.. what i will say is that i think we will have an exciting season ahead. Whether or not we contend or win is up to the lads but so far so good... bring on the next game!

(Off the top of my head I'd go) 1. FA Cup Final - 2. Istanbul3. Olympiakos4. Manchester United at Anfield5. Middlesbrough at home Same top three that I would have only I would have the one against Olympiakos at #1. Martin Tylers' commentary sends shivers down my spine even now when I watch the Road to Istanbul DVD. I remember watching the game, we had about 100 Reds fans crammed into this tiny pub here in Adelaide we were all crying tears of joy by the end. FA Cup final goal v West Ham same story, cant split them really think those two are the standouts for me in what has been 100 pretty awesome goals.
