New York Red Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I can't think of anyone who works harder than our boy Javier. I mean, that position is non-stop, but general you have to remain cool, calm and collected, and to pace yourself properly. Not him. We works his nuts off. Long sprints, repositioning, covering, setting himself up to recieve the ball from the back four, tackling like a maniac. He is absolutely brilliant. I just can't think of a player who has ever worked harder on the pitch.
Guest Silkky Skillz Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I think he has many similarities with Roy Keane at his peak. He is a bit of a psycho as well. Only thing is, he will become a better player then him. Well in Masch!
Chili Palmer Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 (edited) did anyone see him when we scored the winner? went ballistic btw. he was shocking for the first 10 minutes, turned it round brilliantly tho. Edited September 13, 2008 by Chili Palmer

He seemed to realise he started poorly though. Was shaking his head for ages after their goal. Was immense from then on in. Edited September 13, 2008 by Swipe

Yeah he was poor but i think that's the sign of a great player - to turn a performance round like that. Reina has that ability, too. He was obviously still on the plane in the opening few minutes and then turned it on. His timing of getting forward into the box is brilliant because it usually means we have a man extra
Swipe Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Couldn't have said it better myself. EDIT:damn you Swipe, you edited it. Don't know what happened there. I downloaded the new microsoft explorer and my laptop seems to be going nuts!
stressederic Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I always find it a bit comical when he goes into one of his sprinting drives forward with the ball. His back stays bolt upright and his little legs work away beneath him at 100mph.

Guest Dr Evil Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Has anyone seen or heard of an update on his injury yet?
CarraLegend Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 He's a Warrior, him and Xabi dominated the ginger c*** and that snidey Brazilian t***.
Caramba Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Has anyone seen or heard of an update on his injury yet? It was just cramps, no?
Cam Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I'd love to see Mascherano at home of a morning; I bet he puts his items of clothing around the house so he can run between rooms to get dressed. Would anyone really be surprised if Elisha came on and said he ran to Melwood each morning? Javier Mascherano is part Didi Hamann, part Forrest Gump.
sutty Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 You get the feeling that he thought he owed something after the old trafford game?
CaptainXabi Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I love those charging runs he makes in the last 20 minutes. He looks like there's a bear chasing after him.
allawee Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 He was injured at the end and still made a superb tackle.....he just hates being second best.
Duncan Disorderly Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 He was injured at the end and still made a superb tackle.....he just hates being second best. That was superb! Monster Monster
Noel Street Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 by Art Vandaley on Rawk that made choke on a polo mint reminds me of this little fella aswell
Herbie von Smalls Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 It was just cramps, no?looked more than just that to me. one of his teammates (gerrard?) went over to give him the ol' diy cramp-busting leg stretch treatments but appeared to give it a miss when he realised what was up.
