Hassony Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 (edited) Metro Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has questioned Robbie Keane's big-money move from Spurs to Liverpool in the summer. Striker Keane signed for £20million but has yet to make an impression at Anfield and failed to score in five games. And, ahead of this weekend;s clash between United and Liverpool, when asked if any transfers surprised him, Ferguson said: 'The big surprise was Liverpool paying £20million for Keane.' Hopefully Robbie Keane can repay some of the fee this saturday and make Carra'a new best mate eat his words Edited September 9, 2008 by Hassony
Guest Ant Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Opinions, Everyone has one. He has been everything but convincing, however time will tell and I know I said this about the Villa game but the United game is where we need him to show his quality, hopefully he gets a start upfront.
stressederic Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Ferguson in 'statement questioning/unsettling a Liverpool player before United travel to Anfield' shocker
Ronnie Whelan Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Opinions, Everyone has one. In my opinion Ferguson is a c***.
Stevie H Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 liverpool paying 20m for keane surprised me too.
Gomez Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Fergison paying £18m for Hargreaves surprised me as he was touted around the big clubs in England for £4m a year or so before.
cymrococh Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 As opposed to 30m on Berbatov? I wish he'd f*ck off with his tedious 'mind games'. I hope Keane scores a hat trick and breaks Gary Neville's face.
Stevie H Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 really don't think it's anything to be getting wound up about by the way.
Chili Palmer Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 really don't think it's anything to be getting wound up about by the way. I actually think its a good thing, a little extra motivation for Robbie

I hope Keane scores a hat trick and breaks Gary Neville's face. Now that would be a performance to write home about. Surely everyone can see through what he is doing. Ferguson realises that Keane will be really up for this game. Scoring/Contributing to a win against the mancs would be the perfect remedy to an indifferent start for Robbie, ginsoak is just trying to put more pressure on him.

I hope Keane scores a hat trick and breaks Gary Neville's face. Keane, on the turn, right foot volley with ferocious power, hits Gary Neville in the face, breaking it and propelling Neville and ball into the net I'd accept that as a completion of a hatrick
cymrococh Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 really don't think it's anything to be getting wound up about by the way. It's just so incredibly predictable and tedious.
Hassony Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 It's just so incredibly predictable and tedious. At least it shows that for once he regards us as challengers and starting these mind games early with us
Molby Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 really don't think it's anything to be getting wound up about by the way. quiteI get more wound up by this: Xabi gets the ball, looks up and sees Masch and Lucas standing right next to him, looks wide for a full back bombing on but doesn't see one, spins around, tries again, sees Keane standing 5 yards away from him facing our own goal etc etc make it f***ing stop
Stevie H Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 It's just so incredibly predictable and tedious.we don't know the context. could have gone: journo: "were you surprised to see liverpool sign robbie keane this summer?" ferguson: "yes, yes i was. considering their main target was obviously gareth barry". we don't know that it's a pop at keane at all. it's from the metro by the way.
Gomez Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Keane, on the turn, right foot volley with ferocious power, hits Gary Neville in the face, breaking it and propelling Neville and ball into the net From the edge of the box.
Ostrich Man Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 we don't know the context. could have gone: journo: "were you surprised to see liverpool sign robbie keane this summer?" ferguson: "yes, yes i was. considering their main target was obviously gareth barry". we don't know that it's a pop at keane at all. it's from the metro by the way.Ferguson surprised By Keane's move. But stick puzzled in the headline and it makes it seem like a dig. still surprised by how many footy fans believe the way journalists write up their stories.

CarraLegend Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 The last two times ive seen him speak about other teams strikers was Dean Ashton and Niclas Anelka, Ashton scored though they lost anyway but Anelka scored the winner! Lets batter these c****.
D.Boon Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 The Metro  My mother is a more reliable news source.
