Its the perfect opportunity for protest. One of (if not the) most watched club games in the world. Its a great time for it and i hope it goes well and the message is put across well to G&H.

that for the Mancs or G&H

Good question

this is much better. get the echo involved and put some banners together. perhaps consider something well-worded thats directed at rbs, carlsberg and adidas.

much better and ultimately more legal than the last effort :applause:

Think this is a great idea - got to say I really hope the Mancs don't get wind of this and try and sabotage it, but that's just me being pessimistic!

Good work.

Get in touch with the Echo, see if one of their journalists will do a piece on it for Fridays edition.

i would hope that they're briefing the echo, bbc, guardian, telegraph, times, mail, express, mirror, sky sports news, setanta, the f***ing lot. this is a globally televised match and warrants far more exposure than a quick write-up in the echo.

I'm sure I read an article stating that this is the most watched match in the world, watched by even more than the World Cup final.

Keep the anti-G&H chanting going at half time and after the match.

That doesn't always get the support of everyone in the ground, and has led to some bitching and confrontation.

Personally I don't see the problem when the players aren't on the pitch, but some seem to want to keep it outside the ground.

I believe it's too important for that!!

I agree, I think that in normal circumstances the team should come first, but I do believe that the importance of getting rid of these 2 should be everyones top aim this season.

Bit in the Echo

Meanwhile, the fans group Spirit of Shankly are to stage a major demonstration and march against Anfield’s American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett this Saturday morning.

The rallying cry follows news last week that plans to build a new stadium will go on hold for at least a year due to financial difficulties faced by the pair.

The fans group are urging thousands of supporters to show their feelings in a march from the Liverpool Supporters Club on Lower Breck Road, starting at 11am.

Said a Spirit of Shankly statement: “Saturday is a massive day. We are playing one of our biggest rivals, a team who are one behind us in league titles.

“Much of the talk at the moment, however, is about what’s going on off the pitch – what Hicks and Gillett are up to, the stadium and the club’s finances.

“Let’s remind everyone what we want – Hicks and Gillett, out of our club. Let’s make sure they get the message.

“Bring your banners and bring your voices We need a march of passion that roars its message loud and proud: Enough is enough - go now.”

I don't think we could do it at a better game, its an emotional issue on top of our most emotional game of the season.
