Philipp Degen will continue his recovery from injury tonight as the reserves kick-off their title defence at Middlesbrough.

The right-back has yet to make his competitive debut for the Reds after signing from Borussia Dortmund in the summer but has been named in Gary Ablett's starting XI for the 7pm kick-off – a game you can watch live online through LFC TV.

 

Daniel Pacheco also starts at the Riverside, while Dutch winger Vincent Weijl gets a debut.

Bruna's playing in the centre and has read the game well but has looked to do too much, most of which havent come off.

 

The Darby goal should have stood though.

We've some really good looking players out there. New guy Weijl is also doing the business down the left wing. Pacheco is sort like a Garcia with pace maybe? Simon though had a chance to score there and just blasted what should have been placed
