johngibo YPC Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Haven't seen this anywhereInterview with Carra in todays Mirror about his bookhttp://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...15875-20721162/ serialisation starts tomorrow
Guest Ant Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Based on that it looks like it will be a cracker. Can't wait till it comes out, apparently he's doing a signing at WHS In the New Liverpool 1.
M4TTA Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 haha can't wait to read this. Always liked Carra's honesty, even if it's something you may not want to hear. That article above says that to me.

gkmacca Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 It just reminds me why it's probably best not to know too much about those players you most admire. The description of Ginsoak ('he even voted Labour!') as akin to a Scouser will take a long time to expunge from my mind.
psl Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 So he loves Ferguson and wants to go to Madrid or Barcelona.
M4TTA Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 So he loves Ferguson and wants to go to Madrid or Barcelona. I quote: "f*** Carra OFF!"
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 He's started the season brillantly.
Stevie H Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Rush is doing a signing in Waterstones on Monday if anyone is interestedBold St onewhy is rush signing carra's book? It just reminds me why it's probably best not to know too much about those players you most admire. The description of Ginsoak ('he even voted Labour!') as akin to a Scouser will take a long time to expunge from my mind.that the racehorse-owning knight of the realm socialist alex ferguson?
Guest Ant Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I quote: "f*** Carra OFF!" A few people have already started saying that, and wrongly so IMO.
Conor Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Of course wrongly. He is in the top 5 best central defenders in the world in my opinion.. He will be really needed over the next few games with Stevie and Nando out.
Ostrich Man Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 that the racehorse-owning knight of the realm socialist alex ferguson?thats the one. I suppose youre like A@A and think socialists should be poor only and if they make a mint prove their credentiaqls by giving it all away?

Its always different when you are in the game compared with when you are not.I don't see how anyone in the game could not respect what he had achieved. And maybe on top of that Carra has always found him good to deal withI on the other hand am not in the game so think he is an absolute c*nt
Stevie H Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 thats the one. I suppose youre like A@A and think socialists should be poor only and if they make a mint prove their credentiaqls by giving it all away?not at all you trolling c***. but he could have turned the knighthood down. many have.
gkmacca Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 thats the one. I suppose youre like A@A and think socialists should be poor only and if they make a mint prove their credentiaqls by giving it all away? What exactly is 'socialist' about his attitude? Shanks was a pretty simplistic political animal but he made some kind of sense. I don't look at someone who routinely slanders other managers, players and officials, boycots a public service broadcaster for having the temerity to investigate suspected corruption in his own sport and appears to have no problem with one of the most obscenely avaricious industries available. Forget him being the manager of the mancs. I find him a deeply disappointing human being.
bazz Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I don't think I want to read his comments to be honest, I prefer the view I have of him now. I started reading and the comments he makes at the start has turned me right off.
cocknose Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 not at all you trolling c***. but he could have turned the knighthood down. many have.i certainly would
Stevie H Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 i certainly would it's a longshot occurence to be fair though right? arise sir cocknose?
cocknose Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 it's a longshot occurence to be fair though right? arise sir cocknose?True, but would still like the oppurtunity to tell the old c*** to stick it up her old a***.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 some dodgy comments about foreigners. on the whole, though, I really like how he comes across. very interesting that he says he would move if Liverpool weren't a good team and a big team came in for him. Of course, it's natural (and indeed obvious) that he would do that, but a few people on here have said there's no way Carra would ever have left Liverpool.
Kuyt-fever Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Any player who writes a book when still playing is a berk. If Gerrard compared Ferguson to a scouser and said he "loved" him then there would be a meltdown on this site.
Will Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Any player who writes a book when still playing is a berk. Why? I'd say it shows they are quite sensible as that is the time they are likely to get the most sales...
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Why? I'd say it shows they are quite sensible as that is the time they are likely to get the most sales... Whilst not agreeing with the first post, I'll disagree with you there Will. The market for a player is always the same - generally the clubs he plays for. Therefore, given their wealth and desire for respect, its better to write it when they are finished playing that way they get the same market and if its interesting enough, then other readers. If they write it whilst playing, they might a) get the same market and bore themorb) disrupt things with controversy and get more readers Anyway..................................
Romario Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 "It's not just football. I've got two brothers who find it hard to work in Liverpool in this Capital of Culture year. One of the reasons is we've made it too easy for foreigners to come here and take the jobs." Ah christ he's just like Lampard. Imagine being on England duty with this lot fighting over the daily mail.Stick to the football Jamie.
