Arnie Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 LFChistory.net is an accessible website for stats and historical articles on Liverpool FC. LFChistory.net has all the results from official games, every goalscorer, every single line-up and profiles of all players who have appeared on Liverpool's teamsheet since the 1892/93 season. Our latest one is called "Liverpool go Scottish!" and is the second instalment in our series which detail Liverpool's formative years. The articles are based on documents and press reports from the local newspapers at the time which I have studied in great detail. Here's a brief summary: "John Houlding had split from Everton and created a new team called Liverpool. Ulsterman John McKenna was in charge of finding players and he went north of the border. Liverpool's first season awaited in the Lancashire league and Liverpool fans didn't have to wait long for the first Merseyside derby which ended in highly controversial circumstances." I hope you guys will give yourselves time to read my articles. I have lots to do every day, but I always find time to write about my beloved Liverpool and I believe if you get to know the roots of the club you'll gain a deeper appreciation of Liverpool Football Club. Cheers, Arnie - editor of LFChistory.net
Will Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I shall make a point of reading this a bit later, when I get the chance! lfchistory.net is a fantastic resource - and the folks that run it are good fellas too!
