lordgarretty Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 This past two weeks Liverpool have been fair game for media experts happy to mark us down as also rans again because we didn't monster Boro, Sunderland or Liege. We are going to get a thumping in our CL group as well ... apparently.Never mind that we've won our two opening games playing, admittedly, pretty poorly, and have got into the Champions League against pretty handy opposition.I'm looking forward to the experts putting their assessment into context when Everton get a proper hiding off Liege. I'm putting a few quid on a decent aggregate win for Liege. Three nil is my inexpert opinion, though I'm sure Andy t***send adn others will assert that Everton are far too strong for the team that was beaten by an 'ordinary' Liverpool 11. Let Mbokani loose on them
Benitez Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 talk about a post to come back and bit yer on the a*** Oh, and wrong forum

Duncan Disorderly Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Thats a brilliant picAs someone mentioned before, if there was a niche for posting pics on the web, I'd make a fortune. Sadly, thats not the case and I'll just have to scour the web's images for the love of it.
Tommy Cockles Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Oh, the joy! It's the PFC socks that round that off nicely. The guy on the right with just "Play up" must feel rather under-tatooed next to that.

Andy @ Allerton Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Girlfriend is bricking it She was going on about how rubbish they were and blah blah blah - now she's a bit concerned
owenthomas Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 after we beat them a fella in our work comes in and gives a knowing smile saying "you's were lucky there last night.. Lucky Liverpool.. just scraping through against a no-mark team" as he walks away laughing.. on Friday, a few of us were out for a bev.. more joined us, one being this fella.. i said "bet your made up aren't ya? getting Liege.. a no-mark team.. nice easy game for you there.." he said "tell you what, we could have done without that.. its always the same - Everton get the hardest draw possible, Liverpool get the easy one.. one rule for one, one for another"
lordgarretty Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 Did you hear Kevin Ratcliffe on the TV last night defending Everton and Baines for the penalty. They were comprehensively done - two weeks ago and last night. As for the nobber blue saying 'just our luck drawing the hardest team', I'd put it another way: It was bad luck on Liege that they drew us, because pinch to a pound of s***, if they'd drawn any of the other teams in the qualifying round they would be in the champions league proper. THey are a much better team than PSV and would measure well against Marseille as well. Everton, well, they can content themselves with the fizzy pop cup. Oh, they're out of that as well!
Sion Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Did you hear Kevin Ratcliffe on the TV last night defending Everton and Baines for the penalty. he was a jokeaccused liege players of diving every 5 seconds, when 9/10 it was just Everton being their usual skill-void selves. They were lucky they didn't lose by more

All the Evertonians as one were saying Liege were s**** when we drew them. Arf.
