When I was younger we used to play what we called 'Portugese Football' where you were allowed blatantly foul the opposition but not seriously for obvious reasons. The usual sliding challenges, pulling, pushing etc. The thing is I have absolutely no idea we called it Portugese football but thats what it was. I think everyone had the same game but with a different name.

In junior school we used to play a game we christened Aussie Rules Netball on the days when the Netball nets were left up in the yard. Anything went foul wise and you could score a goal as well as get a net, the only rule was the netball one where if you caught it you weren't allowed to move. It was also a unisex sport so games would invariably end when someone made a girl cry.

Portuguese.

Did you know where the name came from? I had always assumed some genius had seen a game from the portugese league where a couple were sent off and thought this is the way it always is, of course, no one gets sent off in the real portugese football.
