Tommy Cockles Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Always makes me nervous. The thought of going out at this stage is a nightmare, it could b*gger up the season before its started. The possible teams are as follows: Club Atlético de Madrid (ESP)FC Sheriff (MDA) / AC Sparta Praha (CZE)Drogheda United FC (IRL) / FC Dynamo Kyiv (UKR)PFC Levski Sofia (BUL)SK Slavia Praha (CZE)Galatasaray AS (TUR)FC İnter Bakı (AZE) / FK Partizan (SRB)Vitória SC (POR)NK Domžale (SVN) / NK Dinamo Zagreb (CRO)Beitar Jerusalem FC (ISR) / Wisla Kraków (POL)R. Standard de Liège (BEL)FC Twente (NED)Tampere United (FIN) / FC Artmedia Petržalka (SVK)Aalborg BK (DEN) / FK Modriča (BIH)SK Brann (NOR) / FK Ventspils (LVA) Anorthosis Famagusta FC (CYP) / SK Rapid Wien (AUT) Obviously Athletico Madrid and Galatasary are the 2 to avoid, also Partizan Belgrade, Slavia Prague, Dinamo Kiev and Dinamo Zagreb would be tricky also. Definately a harder list this year.
Sion Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Don't exactly fancy a trip to Jerusalem (they're 2-1 up after the first leg) Sofia, Vitória, Famagusta, Liège, Twente all good ties.
Stevie H Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 be good to give steve mclaren's new outfit a pasting.
Hassony Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 be good to give steve mclaren's new outfit a pasting. If only rafa had taken the league cup more seriously he could have been managing FC Twente now
BDB Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Lol. I think it's hilarious to see Drogheda in there, my cousin brought me over the DI last week. They'll have tough time doing Kiev though in the 2nd leg.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Lol. I think it's hilarious to see Drogheda in there, my cousin brought me over the DI last week. They'll have tough time doing Kiev though in the 2nd leg. Some would say impossible
smithdown Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Don't exactly fancy a trip to Jerusalem (they're 2-1 up after the first leg) Sofia, Vitória, Famagusta, Liège, Twente all good ties. Heard a report on Beitar Jerusalem fans on the world service last night, sound like a right bunch of right wing barstads. Something to do with having Croatian links and them singing about the glories of ethnic cleansing and whatnot.
Dominus Maximus Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Hope we get Aalborg, only 300 km from Brøndby, I could make the trip easily....
drdooom Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Tampere United are not to be messed with. Actually they are but they lost 3-1 in the home leg so I doubt LFC will get to do it.
Walrus Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Awful to draw Atletico or Galatasaray...Revenge of Luis or Harry.
Rich Gobey Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Tampere United are not to be messed with. We'd really stuff it up 'em.
Koller49 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Paddy's at Sparta,Vladi's at Slavia... They're no longer mates
Tommy Cockles Posted July 31, 2008 Author Posted July 31, 2008 Are Rangers seeded then? They are (if they get through) Its all here: Draw News
allawee Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 don't think we should fear any team...we are class act in europe under Rafa and he will have us well prepared even if it is a tie against A. Madrid! I think we will be there regardless of who we play although my choice is Anorthosis Famagusta FC (CYP) / SK Rapid Wien (AUT)
Koogan Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Tampere United are not to be messed with. Their season has been dreadful, clearly a case of over-confidence on their part. (they're my local team but I don't mind them struggling, my favourite Finnish team is my hometown team from Rovaniemi). There's no way back for Tampere, trailing 1-3 after the home leg. Terrible defending cost them.
John am Rhein Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Slavia Praha please. Failing that Standard Liege.
