Honestly, he'll be like a new signing. Quality player IMO and together with Skrtel will be one of the best CB partnerships around. Its vital to have two ball playing CB's with the quality we have in the middle and both those guys are excellent with the ball at their feet.

His reponse to that first leg was what, in my opinion, pushed him from being a very good player to a bloody good (potentially world class) one.

 

Right in saying that if it weren't for his injury last season, he'd be right up there. A defender that young and brilliant I haven't seen in f*** knows how long.

I honestly think if he had been fit all last season the points gap would have been a lot smaller.... and maybe even... but we will never know.

Seems to love playing football, and sounds like he was frutrated at not being able to play last year. Think he will be fired up for this year and wanting to make up for the past 12 months and thats great news for us.

Never even minding the tatoos, barely surpressed rage is something that I always think I see in him. Which I rather enjoy. He comes across that way in some interviews too. Doesn't give a bollix what anyone thinks.
