I asked first,

Premiership:

FA Cup:

Champions League:

Carling Cup:

100% effort in each game from each player that takes the field. After that I'm good with whatever.

Premiership: 3rd. If we finish 4th again something has obviously gone stale.

FA Cup: 5th Round but Honestly don't care. It'd be nice to get a game at the new Wembley but not a priority.

Champions League: Quarters. Bored of the Euro cup now, doesn't bother me unless theres a chance of drawing the Mancs in the semi.

Carling Cup: Not being in it would be a plus if thats possible.

That's the minimum for me. If we are battling for fourth again it will be a f***ing long season. And probably one to forget.

Anything more than 7 points behind the champions or less than 83 points is unacceptable. We must win a trophy if he's unable to win the league. 2 long years.

Premiership: - This has to be our year, Champions or a bloody close second.

FA Cup: - Sod playing the stiffs, the FA Cup is magic.

Champions League: - To get to a third final in five years would be a massive achievement.

Carling Cup: - Play the stiffs all the way through.

I want the Prem more than any other trophy, the Mancs are far to close for comfort, I can feel their smelly s*** breath on my neck.

I agree with this answer totally

I hate these types of threads with a passion... its like we are saying our support is conditional... when you say minimum what do you mean if we dont reach that... sack the board, sack the managers, go support AFC whoever?

Its like saying to your kids that the minimum I expect from your GCSE's is x A's..... and supporting liverpool and having watched TJ achieve and have disappointments along the way, I can see the parallels...

That's not to say I don't want success or will have the blackest of moods over a weekend if we lose an early sat kick off ( I still cant erase the feeling when we lost to leeds 3-4 after being 0-2 up) and will critic the players and selection to death on here and down the pub....

You see in my eyes right now that would be a perfect season.... to be in contention for the two of the 18-5.... so to call it a minimum is like preparing to fail, but I do know how passionate you are Kev, and how much the club means to you and your kin, its just how I see it

Agree 100%.

What if we don't acheive what is 'acceptable'? What happens then?

But isn't that all part and parcel of being a fan. Shanks built this club to win things, to be the best at everything, us older fans find it hard to accept anything else. First is everything.

FA Cup: See above

Champions League: See above

Premiership:

Minimum top 4, a proper league challenge i.e. still in with a realistic chance of winning the thing in mid-April, cut the points difference from us to the wineers from 11 to 7 or less.

FA Cup:

we have not had a decent run in this since 2005, so I'd like a day out at Wembley.

Champions League:

minimum is QFs

Carling Cup:

use it to give some of the youngsters like Nemeth, Pacheco experience. Not too bothered part from that.

Very blinkered view. The game has moved on just a tad since Shankly.

Its too simplistic/arrogant call it what you like to just roll out the "we're Liverpool we shold be winning everything line" these days.

We won it in 2006

We'll have a better side than last season. We have Rafa and he's supported by Sammy Lee so we have better coaching.

I'm confident we'll do well, thats enough for me for now.
