koppper Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 (edited) I'm confused but here you go: Link 23 June 2008 Reds And L'OM To Negotiate Over CisseFrench striker Djibril Cisse is now looking more likely to stay at Marseille after the Ligue 1 club revealed that they are set to engage in talks with Liverpool over him. The 26-year-old is still officially on the books of Liverpool but it has been obvious for quite some time that he does not feature in the plans of Reds boss Rafa Benitez. Cisse scored 16 goals to help fire L’OM into the Champions League for next season, but is nevertheless keen to return to his old hunting ground, deeming his style to be more suited to English rather than French football. Marseille chairman Pape Diouf recently said that the decision on this matter rests with the clubs and not with the player, and now it seems clear that he is intent on making sure that Cisse's stay is permanent. “There is room for manoeuvre between what both sides want," Diouf was quoted as saying. “We will discuss things this week.” Update - hmmmmm the story has been pulled from the website but is still on newsnow - some sort of mess up I suppose. Benitez Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 (edited) that's old innit? Pretty sure they aren't in the CL next season. Bordeaux finished 2nd. Scrap that, 3rd probably get in as well do they? Anyway, still think that's old! They sold him last summer. Edited June 23, 2008 by Benitez

Atticus Finch Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 The ironic thing is that the system we finished the season with would have suited him far more than how we played when he was here.
Maldini Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 The ironic thing is that the system we finished the season with would have suited him far more than how we played when he was here. Not really though.

Guest Anders Honoré Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Torres + Cisse = Carnage + Useless Bell End. How dare you call Torres a Useless Bell End [uBE]. He's way up there with Cisse, possibly better.
Guest Scot Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Nearly had a f***ing heart attack there. occasional strike force of Voronin and Cisse. The James Browns of football.
