Knox_Harrington Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I haven't enjoyed a tournament as much as this in years, if ever. Every game has a bit of something special and some have a load of something special.
Gerry Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I haven't enjoyed a tournament as much as this in years, if ever. Every game has a bit of something special and some have a load of something special. Liar! France vs Romania was fecking dire. Having said that, yes it has been great so far.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 it's right up there with euro2000 as the best I've seen so far.
ExCorkExile Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 it's right up there with euro2000 as the best I've seen so far. Not as good as France '84 though ! - that was a classic tournament Has been the best international tournament for a while..hopefully the knockout stages will be as good as the group stage
Crazy Horse Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Not the same without the British teams...my a***.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 looking at some of the teams - Holland, Spain etc - it just shows you how far behing England really are. They'd have added nothing to the tournament
Guest Prongsy Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I've enjoyed it, mainly because England haven't been in it.
Guest Raisbeck Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Agree with all of you, fantastic. England would be along par with Greece or Sweden if there were in it. Not here to play like the Dutch of Spanish but here to spoil and nick something. We have much to learn.
John am Rhein Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Not the same without the British teams...my a***. Not the same - better
Dan Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Always thought the Euros are better quality than World Cups because there aren't any really sh*t teams in them like Angola etc Really enjoyed this one. Revived my interest in international footy in the short term at least.
surf Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I've been thinking the same thing, it's been a really enjoyable tourament. Switzerland - Turkey was great.
stressederic Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I've enjoyed it a lot so far. The Holland - Italy game really started something.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 aye - and the last 15 mins yesterday was feckin mental
stressederic Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 aye - and the last 15 mins yesterday was feckin mental Unbelievable stuff. I still don't think Nihat has got enough credit for that 3rd goal.
surf Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 In terms of drama and excitement i'll go:Group AGroup CGroup DGroup B
Gunga Din Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 its been a great tournament. not having to listen to everyone banging on about Englands game, next opponent, WAGS etc has helped no end, and also there is no chance of them, winning it. And England are a mile behind Europes top teams there are about 10 teams in the finals better than England.
berdoing Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 It has been okay so far, but people are getting carried away a bit. A tournament is only really remembered by the quality of its last seven games - the quarters, semis and final. And let's be honest, there are some pretty average teams in this competition. The idea to extend it to 24 teams would be very, very wrong.

Earl Hafler Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) WAGS A major, major, major bonus. The absence of Posh Spice and the infuriatingly stupid, vain, vacuous Cheryl Cole has been a Togsend. Edited June 16, 2008 by Big Stuff
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 she's a geordie - what do you expect? Anyway - doubt she'd have been there to cheer that twunt on
Bailo Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 And England are a mile behind Europes top teams there are about 10 teams in the finals better than England. Not an England fan by any means, but I don't think that's true. Spain, Holland, Portugal and Croatia are the only teams that look obviously better IMO.
Ostrich Man Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Not the same without the British teams...my a***.exactly who needs them. the Irish on the other hand...
allawee Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Also and not stereotyping here...but I look forward to watching the spanish, russian, swedish, czech and yes even the german babes in the stands...and what do England fans have to offer....fat, bald headed hooligans with tatooes!!! Euro 2008 babes
