Kvarme Ate My Food Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Commentators frequently say "the ref has blown up", so I would like to see a ref blow up or is that to un pc. hilariously risque whatever happened to Duncan Disorderly's PC-bashing website?
carrafan Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Doesn't old Whiskey-face Ferguson play 'You are the ref' every weekend, sometimes mid-week for European specials?
Spike Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 What would happen if for expamle, Jens Lehmann of Germany was being attacked by 5 pigeons while he was in goal and Phillipe Senderos decides to shoot from 50 yards for Switzerland and scores, would this goal stand?
Hassony Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 I got one If a match goes to penalties for example between liverpool and united, and finnan (who wouldn't take a penalty anyway and is playing his last game before retirment) went and gave van de saar a dead leg or a broken nose, than attacked C Ronaldo on the way out, the ref would have to send off finnan, but united won't be allowed to subtitute VDS and C Ronaldo, what will the Ref do at that point?

That's a good one. Laugh, hopefully.

Thats not very ambitious. What about a dead leg or a broken nose a gunshot through the kneecaps
Guest Ant Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 It's one of the biggest games of the season. One side decide to systematically kick the opposition striker off the park. Do you a) book the offending playersb) Ignore the fouls and book the striker when he first complains about the treatementc) Book the striker and send off his team-mate when he complains about the bookingd) Whatever Alex Ferguson wants you to do
Guest Snorky Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 The ball goes out for a corner and before the corner is taken a defender is substituted but before he leaves the pitch he punches an opponent in his own penalty area. What do you do and how do restart the game ?

What do you do and how do restart the game ? Red card and keep the corner? Surely not a penalty. these quizzes almost make me feel sorry for referees, theres loads of s*** they gotta know. Almost makes me understand how they keep forgetting Paul Scholes isnt just a clumsy forward making 'forwards tackles'.

What do you do and how do restart the game ? in two parts 1) players still on the pitch and is still officially in play. carries out a predmeditated attack foul. straight red card. team is down to ten men and sub is void. 2) balls out of play so play restarts from the corner probably end up dishing out a few yellows when both teams throw hangbags. gets written up in the post match report and the fa do f*** all about it til the end of the season at which point fergys lot have wiggled out of it

Does (1) The taking of penalties carries on.(2) Team B nominate a player who cannot take a penalty incase it goes to sudden death.(3) Team A picks a player from the remaining 5 players of Team B (GK and first 5 are exempt), not to take a penalty if it goes to sudden death.

I'm sure this was discussed in France '98, after Beckham went off. in the event of sudden death, both teams continue to take penalties until one team wins. once all 10 of Team A have taken a penalty, they start again. Team B must have all XI players take a penalty before starting again. To that extent, Team A have an advantage, because they are back to specialist penalty-takers, while Team B's 11th choice has to take a kick.
