It fits well in with the number of goals from open play we have conceded this season, our problem this season has been defending set pieces.

 

A player praised by many in the thread about our ten best players this season has not helped much either after his inclusion in the team, and he has a big job infront of him next season if he is supposed to replace Sami, personally I have not been impressed with this part of his play at all.

Think he's just gutted we bought Skrtel instead of Brede Hangeland. Following Hangeland's performance against us at Craven Cottage, I can see why. In terms of Skrtel and zonal marking - all of our defence struggled with it in 04-05, Agger struggled with it shortly after he arrived here. Bodes well for Skrtel then.
