Elisha_Scott Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Its like Christmas eve, I am up early tomorrow, getting down there for lunch and straight on the ale to calm the nerves. Cant f***ing wait, this is our 3rd semi final in 4 years, just amazing really!Enjoy these nights chaps, they dont last forever.Going to be a momentous, nail biting, nerve jangling, clock watching, insult hurling, 90+ minutes We need big games from everyone, but in particular we need the captain to turn in a European performance, not a 'Stamford Bridge in the prem ' one. If Torres and Gerrard can get close to each other, with Terry on a booking we can f*** these on their own turf. AARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
dorgie Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Carra to do a Tommy Smith & leap into the night air to head home....."what a delighted scorer"
Old red eyes Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 We'll do em alright. Have the faith. Don't know how i'm supposed to sleep tonight.

Paul_LFC Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I haven't been hyped up for a game like this since Istanbul. Mainly a mixture of nerves and also excitement at what may happen if we play our game and stay focused. I agree with needing Torres and Stevie linking but I reckon we should start with Crouch and if it doesn't work, bring on Babel early in the 2nd half. They just don't know how to deal with Crouchy and Terry will be uneasy as he's on the booking and he could be the side show that could pay off.

I think that they have always dealt comfortably with Crouch. Especially Carvalho.
Stevie H Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 it's great and awful. we're underdogs yet they're really worried about us. agree with elisha about keeping torres and gerrard close to one another, get torres going at terry and also try and get babel to exploit that gap that appears between carvalho and his right-back. how can the prospect of knocking these c***s out to play the mancs in the european cup final not be amazing? roy of the rovers stuff. it's 7.20 am here and the match doesn't kick off until 1.45am tomorrow morning but i am buzzing.

We've been spoilt in recent years, and all thanks to Rafa. We need a result later tonight and i've got a feeling we'll get it. The nerves have already kicked in. Its going to be some day. Lets hope it ends in the right way.

The thought of us against them in Moscow is absolutely crazy and is overpowering at this point.

Guest Mongewell Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 There are few things in my life that really mean something; of course family and friends but finally, AT LAST, the opportunity to play the Mancs in a meaningful final is SO BIG, this wait is unbearable. What makes it so appealing is that this will mean so much to Ferguson, a man I despise for his lack of grace and humility and a man who illegally stole talent from smaller clubs to build his own success. Chelsea is a fly to be swatted away in the pursuit of this great opportunity and I just hope that the officials understand the weight on their shoulders tonight. Real fan? Call me what the hell you like but this matters.

Swagger Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I really do not know why I have bothered turning up at work this morning. I cannot concentrate on anything but the game, the chances of me doing any work are so non existent, I might as well hang a Do Not Disturb sign on my office door.
magneto Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 After yesterday's result, I am not as nervous about tonight's game as I thought I'd be. My brain's way of saying "this game pales in comparison to what lies ahead on May 21st if we win".

Cunny Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 My PMT hit as soon as I knew the mancs were through.

Swipe Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Felt sick all the way through the Arsenal second leg. I had the cheek to say it was a classic game - which it was - once it ended. Certainly don't remember thinking "what a great game of football" while watching it! Was rolling about the place, blessing myself insessently for some reason and genuinely s***ting myself with nerves! Tonight will be a million times worse! If we win that will be 3 CL finals in fours years. Astonishing. Gonna be tough but an early goal will get our tails up and really panic them. While, of course, totally removing their advantage. Want to win so bad!
cliff p Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 woke up at six feeling like it was christmas day !!!! have a crate of ale chilling in the fridge in work for the jorney down to london this afternoon i really cant wait just to be on the way. its days like this, thats what its all about following the reds.
Flasher Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I can't help thinking that Rafa will throw a surprise tonight. Haven't quite worked out what that might be though. 4-4-2 perhaps..........
Gunga Din Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I'm surprisingly calm about it all at the minute. got nervy a while ago, but now i'm not nervy at all, infact, i'm far too calm. which is worrying

I had my first good night's kip in weeks last night, which I really didn't expect. I think it's like the Usual Suspects where he says that if you arrest 5 men for a crime, the guilty one will be the one who sleeps through the night. I know I'm condemned...
