More fuel to the fire would be the fact that both his other teams are saddled with loads of debt whilst languishing near the bottom of their leagues. The hockey team always finished 3rd or 4th in a 4 division league - it was first when he took over. His baseball team has just lost the last 4 matches and is last but one I think.

The hockey team has done well under Hicks – playoffs most years and won its only Stanley cup in 1999.

We stay away because that's the only way that buffoons like Tom Hicks will ever get the message. He should have sold the franchise a few years back when he said he would.

This is what he is doing at the moment, taking on various PR companies in the UK to help him. I don't doubt they've been a big part of his strategy of backing Rafa and trying to sack Hicks, most probably aided by their people on this and similar forums.
