johngibo YPC Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 maybe it not true, thought of that? And its in the transfer thread
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Where does the 12m price tag come from?!! 12m for Barry!!!!
ChrisC Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Such as? Jesus Navas? Joaquin? There are plenty of good wingers we could sign to be fair...
ChrisC Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Where does the 12m price tag come from?!! 12m for Barry!!!! I know, ludicrous.
Nate. Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Jesus Navas? Joaquin? There are plenty of good wingers we could sign to be fair... Oh them. There are loads of wingers around. Trouble is most are feckin s****.
Tones Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Cant understand people getting upset at things like this for 2 reasons. 1. Its only media speculation. Why get worked up about something that quite likely to be bulls***. 2. If Rafa wants to sign Barry, or whoever, you just have to let him get on with it. If you dont have faith in your manager you may aswell sack him.

ChrisC Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Oh them. There are loads of wingers around. Trouble is most are feckin s****. True, but Kuyt is no winger and doesnt give us enough going forward IMO, and Im still unimpressed by Babel overall, hes shown some nice glimpses but isnt involved for the majority of games.
Gilps Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Oh them. There are loads of wingers around. Trouble is most are feckin s****. Kaizer'll be along in a minute to w*** all over Ricardo cocking Queresma
Rory Fitzgerald Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Cant open the link. But when I saw this thread it sounds like Alonso could be sold with Barry being brought in resulting in a net surplus for us of approx GBP 5mln ? Not out of the question.
CarraLegend Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Sign a f***kin winger Rafa!! Have Uefa got a new rule where you can only sign one player per summer?
goodrobotusses Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Jesus Navas? Joaquin? Navas - suffers the kind of homesickness that could make Jose Reyes look nomadic in comparisonJoaquin - never lived up to his early promise, sadly
gkmacca Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 If we used Carson in the deal it could work out as pretty good business. But, as has been said, he's surely not first priority.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I'd have Alonso replaced with Barry if it meant Rafa got a decent net surplus and allowed him to get in a high quality winger - I'm certainly not dismayed by all this.
ChrisC Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Navas - suffers the kind of homesickness that could make Jose Reyes look nomadic in comparisonJoaquin - never lived up to his early promise, sadly Maxi Rodriguez?Vicente?Stewart sodding Downing>??????Kun Aguero to play on the left of a 3??
Jonesy15 Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Would be good on the left hand side of midfield if we played 4-3-3 as we did against in the second leg against Arsenal.Could also do a job at left back, takes a decent penalty.
Romario Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 (edited) --------------Masch-----AlonsoBabel-------Gerrard----------Barry----------------Torres Works for me. Or even an attacking full back! Edited April 15, 2008 by Romario
Gilps Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Could Barry not be our left back??? He's not played left back for about five years.
WillG Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Could Barry not be our left back??? Yes, he could be - and a bloody good one at that!
