He was consistently getting decisions wrong. It wasnt just big decisions, it was the small ones aswell.

And did I hear right on the TV that the fans were singing "You're not fit to be a referee" ?

I think he maybe in line to put his feet up next weekend.

Reading bluekipper and other fans boards they are all saying Gerrard dived about 10 times and calling for an execution. Bitterness is unrivaled.

Terrible display.

Blackburn seemed to get all the decisions.

Why wasn't Roberts booked for his 5 minute rant at the ref cos he didn't send Skrtal off?

Though the Mascherano decision was gonna gonna set the tone for the rest of the season?

Samba is a ridiculous defender. He pushed people about all day and never got punished.

And as for that 'goal kick'

The one in the 1st half where Gerrard had a shot that their defender blocked ? Yes, that was the most ridiculous thing, how he, or either of his assistants, didn't see that taking a wicked deflection is beyond comprehension.

Unbelievable decision

The referee was bad for both sides, we got decisions in our favour and some went against us.

that's the way I saw it at the game, not seen it on telly yet

No mention of that blatant sliding block on Sky, they just said it was uncharacteristically wayward ... then when he was shouting at the ref they reckoned he was still moaning about the penalty.

To be quite honest, I was ashamed of Gerard's diving today. Whats he playing at?

he seemed to have set out to award as few free kicks as he could today.

he was trying to keep the game flowing, but made so many daft decisions, it became laughable.

luckily, he was able to share his poor decisions between both sides.

talking of refs, the jerk at Old Toilet seemed to have forgotten the " ranting = a yellow" edict.

He also pulled back an obvious goal-scoring advantage for Arsenal to award a free kick. Would have been an altogether different prospect.

Worst overall performance i think i have ever seen

I was baffled by some of the decisions he gave US second half

And as for that 'goal kick'

The goalkick and Samba's assault on Gerrard

Skrtel should have been sent off.

We could have had two pens - Gerrard and Torres

Shockingly poor display because if he isn't giving the penalties, he has to book Gerrard - the first one was a pathetic dive from Gerrard. Just like Pires against Portsmouth a few seasons ago, he dives forward and moves his legs towards the oncoming player to make contact but Friedel has pulled out of the challenge.

From then on, we should have had two pens but the ref has a mare and waves them both away.

Jason Roberts was protesting way more than Torres did (when Torres was booked for asking why a foul was not given...and then Masch given a 2nd yellow for asking why the yellow card). He went up to the ref on more than one occasion remonstrating wildly with him about why Skrtel was not given a red card. How come there is no mention of this huge inconsistency from one week to the next? It really pisses me right off. Roberts should have been yellow-carded...the A-hole!
