Andy @ Allerton Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 There are certain people that sit around my ST seat (ST holders also) - that leave early in most games. Really annoys me all the time because you have to get up and you miss a bit of the match as they waddle past. Well. Just remembered last night as Arsenal scored - they (3 of them) and several other associated people stormed out of the ground when the goal went in. Well.. I just want to say (And if you childishly stormed out after they had banged that goal in - then please don't take this the wrong way..) HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Perhaps next time you'll be able to get to your fecking car a few minutes later and stay til the end!! Ha ha ha ha ha. Makes up for all that annoyance through every season

Makes up for all that annoyance through every season Surely the pen happened before they'd even got down the stairs, unless you sit right by an exit I remember that happening in the 3-3 against united when Clough scored twice, the mancs went 3-0 up and loads made for the exit. Straight from the kick off Clough scored and they all scurried back up the stairs.

I also remember the McManaman goal against Southampton(?) where he scored in 93 minutes and all the t***s missed it - all you could hear on the way out was "What happened? Who scored" "f*** off d****ead - if you'd stayed - you'd know"
johngibo YPC Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Did anyone see when the ball went out towrards the end near the dug out.The ball went to a fan and Alonso was telling him to throw the ball away rather than give it to himMade me laughOh and Pepe's celebrations last night were boss

He's at the bottom of the screen and just turns round arms lofted looking to the heavens's in disbelief
Bailo Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I liked Riise's shot disguising the ref's final whistle. Almunia had to make a save, it was from about 50yds out!!
dorgie Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I find it as funny as f*** when those leaving the ground early and are on the steps on the way down the entrance and they hear a roar and they come running back up to see what happened Twunts.

Told the fans to throw it further down the crowd.
Gunga Din Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 fella in front of me legged it after they scored their second.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 HA HA HA to everyone who left & missed it. Fantastic response from the team though. I didn't even have time to say "well, that's that then" before Babel was hitting the deck. I knew Stevie'd miss...
LondonRed Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 there was this guy sitting next to me yesterday nd in the first 20-30 mins arsenal had a couple of shots and he shouted 'its in!' the first time i looked at him and he didnt know where to look and just said sorry then he done it again a 2nd time and i said 'what the hell is wong with you??'then when sami scored i turned to him and said 'thats what you call in, have some faith otherwise go sit over there mate' he tapped me on the back and was like yes your right im sorry.
Guest Snorky Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 gooners were fighting amongst themselves last night some wanted to leave, others wouldn't let them.

L19red Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 its only a few weeks since we banged in two in the last minute of the first half agasint the geordies and thousands missed both of them because they didnt want to queue for a cold sausage roll.
Cam Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 the 3-3 against unitedFeck, it says much about the number of dramatic matches we've been through over the last few years when that match, arguably unsurpassed at the time, is almost forgotten.
hels smicer Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 the lads infront of me left as soon as Arsenals second went it! they regularly leave on 70 mins most games! i mean whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? also the guy behind me shouts GOALLLLLLLLLLL whenever the opposition have anything resembling a shot on goal! both really drive me mad!
liveabiglife Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 the lads infront of me left as soon as Arsenals second went it! they regularly leave on 70 mins most games! Can you do a time-share on a ST? I'll take the 20 mins they don't want
growler Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 It still amazes me, that after all of the late action involving liverpool in the last few years that anyone would leave early! One of my mates when to the CL final (2005) in a exclusive bar, had a bit to drink, left at half time in a huff, and then they wouldn't let him back in, and couldn't get a cab anywhere either. Was basically listening to the rest of the gang in the bar over the phone. anyone who leaves any game before the final whistle should be fined. Not only are they t***s, but they have stopped a genuine fan from watching the whole game.
MFletcher Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) I've never understood why people leave early. If you're 4-0 down, it's in the last knockings of stoppage time and they have a corner, then fair enough. But leaving with any reasonable length of time left is laughable. They should have their tickets confiscated and their seats given to people who won't leave. Edited April 10, 2008 by MFletcher
Guy_Incognito Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 I went to walk out when Barnsley scored in the FA Cup, but even then I stopped on the way to watch the rest. Not that there was much, like.
Jim Price Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 I remember a game at home to Luton where we were one down until about 87 or 88 minutes, we equalised and people came running back up the stairs. A few more minutes pass by and they start drifting off again only for the great Dean Saunders to poke in the winner. Some lessons are never learned. This was in the Main Stand, naturally.

There was a little run of games that that happened in I think we did something similar to Sheff Utd as well

I used to sit near a bloke who regularly left on 70mins because he had to go to work, though I guess that wasn't every match.
