AE Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 your signature says it all Aye. He kept appearing every time I moved through the forum though. It took me a few minutes to remember he had gone. I was wondering if he was going to be on the bench tonight
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Momo is Boss. His pic will not be removed until Fernando Torres says.
Philby Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 The great man retired today. Best of luck to him.Sure he he lacked a little grace on the ball but he was an absolute machine defensively - covered the grass at a tremendous rate & tackled like a man possessed.I'll always remember him for putting in arguably the crunchiest tackle ever seen in the Charity Shield. 2006 on Ballack. 25 secs in.It also reminded me of one of our best chants of the last 15 years!
Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Looks like that tackle was payback for the one 18secs in
Leo No.8 Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 (edited) He was brilliant up until that mad eye injury. Have good memories of him, that piece recently when he didn’t think we liked him (when we absolutely did) and he got quite choked up when fans told him was really nice. Crazy Horse Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Zenden in that clip. Did he play for us? I'd forgotten.
Rusty Shackleford Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 I think brilliant is a bit of a stretch. Gifted physically but he wasn’t much of a footballer with the ball at his feet either before or after. I suppose that wasn’t what he was bought to do. I was at that game vs Chelsea when he was terrific though.
