growler Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 the mancs are going to draw level and then beat the 18, and going to win in Europe this season. They will beat Roma, Schalke and Fernebache and win the fecking thing. Feck. Feck feck. Bloody ginsoak and ronaldo. Class player, but FECK!
growler Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 its that 2005 feeling, when soon as Gerrard scored in the final group game to take us through, I knew we were going to win it. In fact, loads of us 'knew' then. This season, I am filled with trepidation, knowing that one of the other english clubs will win it (Chelsea or the scum)
Herbie von Smalls Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 gloomy poster filled with fear at prospect of defeat to rivals confuses gut feeling with innate pessimism this club we support has built a legacy on rising to the big occasion. why write us off so readily? is the comfort of preparing for the worst more enticing than the excitement of yet another european cup for our trophy room? seems so from where i'm sitting. close the thread
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I haven't yet read a report about any stabbings in Rome.

Hodgson for Chelsea Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I have been having the same thoughts - it's like the Mancs name is on the trophy this year Makes me sick to say itbut I think they'll win it.
fyds Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Dr Kevorkian to thread 3 please, Dr Kevorkian to thread 3...

Guest Rafa's Receding Hairline Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Everything's going right for the b******s. Look at Rooney's goal: he was surrounded by 2 Roma defenders and a goalie, the ball came at his feet and he didn't even have to move... and he scored.
Tosh Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I thought they would win the tie when at the start of the second half, Roma had a man on the backpost, 6 yards out and he still contrived to volley it into the upper tier... I hold out great hope that barcelona can do better....

You are simply putting the mockers on them, aren't you? Saying they are going to win and invoking the very opposite? Keep up with the chants and you never know.
MFletcher Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 They're not going to win it. Barca will knock them out in the next round. We'll then beat Barca in the final.
Cunny Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 They're not going to win it. Barca will knock them out in the next round. We'll then beat Barca in the final. not a hope, Barca are rubbishthey have been rancid for much of the season
sutty Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 They're not going to win it. Barca will knock them out in the next round. We'll then beat Barca in the final. I think the draw has been kind to them Barca are exactly the sort of "good" team they'd want to play A chelsea type team are the type they wouldn't want to play. That said, there's alot of footy to be played yet
bazz Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Getting a bad feeling myself, Barca are rubbish and United will roll over them. And that t*** will score 40 this year.......40 for a winger!!! feck!
MFletcher Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Barca are a much better side than Roma. I think it's a sad indication of where Serie A has gone that we beat Inter in both legs without conceding a goal, Arsenal should've won both legs against Milan (without conceding a goal) and Roma are odds-on to lose both legs again. Never mind that the likes of Fiorentina can contrive to lose a 2-0 lead away at a team as limited as Everton. I think Barca would take them in two legs.

But united will score in both legs. And that's what I meant about the draw being kind. A patient side, solid at the back are the sort of team that beats united over 2 legs. If Ferdinand were to get injured then Barca would have a much better chance. Been in phenomenal form and is the irreplaceable part of their back 4.
MFletcher Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Ferdinand has been class - and it pains me to admit that. But Barca are missing Messi these days. He should be back prior to the United double header. I really think they'll knock them out in the semis again. Even if they do get to the final, we'll beat them.
Woodsyla Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Even if they do get to the final, we'll beat them. Woah, we have a fair amount of work to do before we can think of Moscow.
MFletcher Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Woah, we have a fair amount of work to do before we can think of Moscow. I'm always incredibly optimistic when it comes to Europe. I always feel we'll better anyone put in front of us, whether they're English or foreign.
