Mick_G Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 For Captain! FACT! If the 2 proven world class non-english internationals at Anfield are this non-plussed at ref decisions, WTF is going on. It aint right yet again, is it any wonder we are better in Europe ? Don't knock Masch, he's been there and done it as has Torres, i can't wait to hear their side of what happened. Bent English refs cost us at least 9 points a season. That decides titles .
alias75 Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Maybe if he was captain he'd be allowed to question the referee, seems to work for John Terry!
Mike Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 don't think we'd have got anything with 11 men today.
Murphman Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Bolllocks, he let us down big style. Kick Ronaldo.Kick Ronaldo.kick Ronaldo. If you get sent off for 'Kicking Ronaldo' then you are a legend, getting sent off for consistently yapping at the ref is inforgivable, had that been Ashley Cole you'd be cursing him, I love Masch but I actually wondered whether Rafa was going to sub him before he got sent off, it was THAt predictable.. He lost it.

Have to agree with this, but you also have to question how Rooney is allowed to stay on the pitch in most games after the yellow cards that was given to Torres and Mascherano today.

Mick_G Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) Ask yourself though, why would a world class international 'lose it' , Kick Ronaldo ? Behave, it's down to ref decisions that infuriated him, why did Tores jump up and give the ref the 'chat ' gesture beforehand. Masch got sent off for sticking up for contesting bent decisions END OF! Guest JV Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Have to agree with this, but you also have to question how Rooney is allowed to stay on the pitch in most games after the yellow cards that was given to Torres and Mascherano today.Hes a Manc c*** and English. When a c*** of a ref gets selected on the say so of a piss head manager then subsequently pressured by the drunk to favour manc c**** all week you know something is up.
John am Rhein Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 said on another thread that it is impossible for english international to get sent off for dissent Would be interesting to look into that... This was where the England full back Cole ave full dissent in the week and got away with it?
ManxRed Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I honestly thought Masch was aking to be sent off. Running all that way to have a go at the ref. Its Steve Bennett, he wants an opportunity to be tomorrow's headline and well done Masch, you've just given him the opportunity. Let us down big time.
Archangel Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Huge huge fan of the player but he was a total t** today Big game, he was a key part of it, he had to keep a lid on it and didn't You can say maybe Ferguson primed the ref for something like this but all the same, if it was a trap he walked right into it
John am Rhein Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I honestly thought Masch was aking to be sent off. The radio more or less said exactly that - even before it happened. Any chance Mascherano was p*ssed off about the way English players get more leniency from refs in the Premier League (re. the 'Ashley Cole incident') and wanted to prove a point about it?

Mick_G Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 He is class, our referees aren't. f***ed up, not his fault, big f***in b******s to him for standing up to be counted though, and to be honest i would want him to do it again and again and again and again and again. Give him the f***ing armband, LFC captain for years to come .
John am Rhein Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 No. He just got pissed off with the battering Torres took and leniency to other c**** on the field like Scholes. That would be consistent with what I said... Scholes has been indulged by referees for years. See him in an Oldham shirt and he'd last about 20 minutes before being sent off.

John am Rhein Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I doubt he went out to prove said point. though obviously after the event it does prove it if you get what I mean. Maybe so. I haven't seen exactly what happened, so it's hard to say. Is it true Mascherano basically just had a complaint to the referee, having already been booked?

John am Rhein Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I'd hope not ffs. Would be even more idiotic. Dunno why. English players certainly do seem to get different treatment.
John am Rhein Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 2nd vid Looks like Mascherano should have beaten the sh*t out of the referee
Guest JV Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Looks like Mascherano should have beaten the sh*t out of the refereeExactly. Booked for f*** all.
