I am thinking of a player, world class player who could play in several roles

 

Mainly where kuyt plays, but also able to cover torres and potentially play with torres in a 4-4-2

Not sure of the formation they play now.

I am very fond of our current formation and would like to keep it

If he could play mainly in Kuyt's roll (and would be happy to) i would love to sign him

He looks a great player to me but i don't know enough about him to know if he could play that roll

Valencia have had a sh'te season and his agent is making all sorts of noises today about him leaving this summer

 

He will definately be available - the only competition for me is I think the mancs who mayl offload saha this summer, milan will probably buy shevchenko back, maybe real will have a go but they have van nistelroy

 

With him being spanish and that though you would think we would be favourites should we go for him

 

Perfect for us as this summers blue ribband signing me thinks, especially given we will probably get upwards of ten million for crouch

The general consensus seems to be that we only need one top class forward if we're playing this formation from now on. f*** that i say. Torres cant play 60 games a season and could get injured at any point. If your backup is Kuyt and Voronin then we're f***ed

I agree with Huyton, a front three of Babel, Torres and Villa with Gerrard, Mascherano and Alonso is as good as anything in world football. Also when Torres is rested we have an alternative. We should literally break the bank as he is the exactly what we need at the moment.

 

As for played out of position, Ronaldo has played up front , right mid, left mid for Utd, Rooney has played up front and left mid. Great forward players can play any attacking role. IMO Babel Torres and Villa would be senf***ingsational.

Babel can cover up, and we need someone else who can play both wide and down the middle

 

Crouch and Kuyt are too slow to play down the middle, and Gerrard will struggle to play with them
