Bo Benn Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Is it in the slightest possible that we'll see an Agger comeback perhaps?
honourablegeorge Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 (edited) Nice to see this lot hammered, and if someone wouldn't mind breaking Stephen Hunt's legs and head with a nice crisp tackle, that'd be nice too. Edited March 13, 2008 by honourablegeorge
Rory Fitzgerald Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Rest Kuyt and Babel and play Crouch and Voronin as the wide men. Whaddya mean thats a ridiculous suggestion !
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I'll be disappointed with anything less than 11 changes to the starting lineup from the Inter game
Sion Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Reina Carra Skrtel Agger Pennant Masch Alonso Babel Gerrard Benayoun Torres Don't see the point of playing 4 defenders and Masch to a team that'll come for a draw, 3+ Masch should do.

I don't think Masch will play. Sami will get a rest too imo.
Rimbeux Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I don't think Masch will play. Sami will get a rest too imo. Why? He didn't play last Sat, it will have been four days since Inter, which wasn't a quick game, more of a mental drain, and it will be over a week till the Mancs. I can see probably Arbeloa for Sami (who is old) and maybe Xabi coming in for Lucas

I can see probably Arbeloa for Sami (who is old) and maybe Xabi coming in for Lucas I admit I was wrong (As usual), and you were right (as usual) Masch is essential to our midfield, regardless of the opposition, he just keeps everything flowing so well, he has to play.
Bo Benn Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Whatever we do I do not want to see a change in formation. 4231/42121/433 or whatever you like to call it has imo worked wonders lately. I would like to see some consistency in the roles players are brought on to play. If players are genuinely knackered them give them are rest, we have a big enough squad. But I'm pretty confident only the team management are competent and informed enough to make that decision. Personally I would like the attacking combo of Babel-Torres-Benayoun tried out. Would be a good game make changes like that and also get Agger a run-in back into the team.
Swipe Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Keep strongest team team, win the game by half-time, rest key players shortly afterwords. Sorted.
Siang Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) we will see this team Pepe Arbe Skittles Old Finn Argie Lonso Lucas Benny Gerrard Babble Thor Edited March 14, 2008 by Siang
fred milne Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Reina Carra Skrtel Agger Pennant Masch Alonso Babel Gerrard Benayoun Torres3 at the back? Babel as a wing-back? Pennant in the team at all? No thanks. ReinaArbeloa Carragher Skrtel AurelioAlonso Gerrard MascheranoKuyt Torres Babel
Raj Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 ReinaArbeloa Carragher Skrtel AurelioAlonso Gerrard MascheranoKuyt Torres Babel I agree. Lets keep the same team, if fit.We have a full week to recover before the Mancs
Hassony Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Is voronin fit for this game? would like to see a fron three of crouch, Kuyt and voronin for this game
Rory Fitzgerald Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Is voronin fit for this game? would like to see a fron three of crouch, Kuyt and voronin for this game .......... and the referee and linesman that give penalties for tackles outside the area !
Gomez Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 WTF? How on earth do we get the same ref who f*cked up the away fixture for this match? He was well out of his depth there.
floyd the barber Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 --------------reina------------arbeloa-carra--skirt----aurellio---------masch-lucas------------kuyt------------------babel--------------gerrard--------------------------torres------------- dont wanna see the formation changed, dont wanna see too many if any changes,,

I can see probably Arbeloa for Sami (who is old) and maybe Xabi coming in for Lucas purely on the basis that he had an injury going into the Inter game, tough games coming up and Alonso can play in his place.
AE Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I reckon we will see Agger back(He is now fit isn't he )
The_Adder Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I reckon we will see Agger back(He is now fit isn't he ) Out for the season - see the offal, hmmmm... Thank f*** for that hard Slovakian b*****d!!

Maybe, but unless he's going to aggravate his dead leg or whatever it was, I think Lucas would be the one looking more knackered right now, the one who played all of Newcastle and inter.
