Didn't hear that myself.

But seems very, very unlikely since 90% of the Liverpool support hate England.

It's b******s, we we're singing "Inter" clap clap clap "Inter" clap clap clap etc

one of our forum busy bodies needs to email that c*** and put him straight.

it was inter inter.

Yep - heard that very clearly - obviously the morbidly obese, minge-faced twot had lard inhis ears.

conducted a poll recently?

I certainly don't personally know any match-going Reds that would ever sing "England!" at the match - and to be honest - I wouldn't want to either.

And I know a lot of match-going Reds.

I know most liverpool fans have no time for england...it was the random 90% figure that tickled me.

he gets a hell of a lot of stuff wrong for a senior journalist.

I'm not defending him getting it wrong but I'd allow some leniency as he's defo not got an anti LFC agenda like some others have. He's generally postive about us as is his colleague at the Times - Oliver Kay.

That'll be because Oliver Kay supports Liverpool.

Samuel is a dreadful writer, and yet he has won awards! Incredible. What a testimony to journalistic standards these days. I watch him sometimes on that ghastly 'Sunday Supplement' programme, and if he isn't 'anti' us he tries far too hard to appear otherwise (he also appears to be the only contributor who eats during the show). I note he says elsewhere in this article that the sending off last night represented a 'handsome payback' for the injustices of 1965. Yes, right. What a buffoon.
